I remember seeing this on tv also, the Hollywood version.
Please do not quote my post and add questions inside the quote as if it was part of my quote. This confuses my message: "An abomination that was willingly and purposely suffered.
Revelation was a mixed bag of past, present and future events show to John. I considered John and Jesus as witnesses but neither if them lies in the street for 3 days and John wasn't resurrected- as far as I know.
The witnesses are puzzling. They should show up after the rapture, when the A.C. is revealed."
You made a statement that these things must shortly take place and then asked a question: "So where is John?"
He got his head cut off and it was served on a platter as a special request. He's with the Lord in heaven.

You saw what on TV, The Passion of Christ or another movie about Christ?

John was 6 months older than Jesus right?
And John started his ministry before Jesus bagen his.
So lets say these 2 are going around Jerusalem and the towns, both of them for 42 months.
It's jus John began his six month early and Jesus continued six months after John was beheaded.
So both of the witnesses were seen for 3.5 years.
Now both their bodies lie dead for 3 days.. did they lie dead at the same time or did John lie dead 3 days first and Jesus 3 days second?

I'm working on this too.
It will be interesting to study
Thank You Ronald!

does anyone have solid scripture and or history, that defines what abomination that maketh desolate actually is?
Judging by Daniel and by his contemporary, Jeremiah, and others, it's some kind of image, or associated with an image, and it's betrayed during a time, or more probably, during times, of great rebellion. I think that I have discernment to say it began at Babel, and most recently it has evolved from forms of electronic modulation, to most conspicuously, the television in every church; "on a wing of the temple." But I'm just a tongue.

My apologies, that was honestly a mistake I made earlier this morning before leaving the house, and this is the first chance I’ve had to check back in.

Revelation 1:1,3 KJV
[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: [3] Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 22:6 KJV
[6] And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
Does anyone know what the phrase “ the time is at hand mean”??

Yeah that's what John said.. ;)
I believe the book revelation contains within it 7 epistles containing warnings for what was about to take place in Jerusalem. Jesus had already warned his disciples previously in Matthew. I’ve heard many people refer to these witnesses as being Moses and Elijah, question is

if Moses and Elijah, how could they die, would that not be a total contradiction of scripture?

Yeah that's what John said.. ;)
I tell you what I believe but everybody says everybody says no.. so..I don't run with everybody.
I guess you could call me a misfit.
Anywhoo.

John the Baptist was given the revelation of Jesus. And he took that revelation and went crying throught the wilderness.
When he saw Jesus he testified that this was the lamb of God..
And John saw that holy city coming down called New Jerusalem.. and somehow I think this is the dove.
I'm still working on that.
Anywho,
John was beheaded because he followed the law and went up to what's.. Philips wife and said she was committing adultery.
This got her mad and she had herod cut off his head.
So John kept the commandments and had the testimony of Jesus. He was beheaded and I don't know someone said his head is in a museum and that's disgusting!!

So..This woman Jezebel was riding Herod's Kingdom.. and Herod didn't want to do it, but for some reason he really like her daughter..
so he made a promise and had to stick to it.
Now, did John have his ministry for the 3.5 years Jesus did? Only his started 6 months earlier.. and Jesus' lasted 6 months longer.

So lets say John starts in April and ends on November 3.5 years.
And Jesus starts in November and ends in April 3.5 years.

and the 6 months id how many months Elisabeth was with child before Mary came to say hello.

So their dead bodies.. 3 days.. did they celebrate? was the Sadducees and Pharisees and the higher mucky mucks happy because Jesus and John were dead?

I'm working on it..
Call me a misfit.. it's ok
It's how I hear it.

Well John made a statement that his joy was made full due to what he witnessed upon baptizing Jesus, and as far as I’ve read he only had one interaction with Jesus. John said he had the bride, many say the bride is the church so how did John in his one and only interaction with Jesus witness Him receive the bride?

John 1:32 KJV
[32] And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
Isaiah 11:2,6 KJV
[2] And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord ; [6] The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Firstly, the reader needs to understand that, the book we call Revelation, is actually an instance, signified through John; the revelation is given to Jesus before the foundation of the world, for his servants.

Galatians 4:26-28 KJV
[26] But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. [27] For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. [28] Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
It’s fairly clear to me, we are children.
