I know that I am answering your questions to another person; so consider the answers that I give to be my answers.

I know of people who have done so.

The obvious answer to this is that we walk as Christ walked when we bear the fruit of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

See also 1 John 2:6.

I can't answer for @jaybird; but for my own self, I believe that I can be confident that I bear the following:

Gal 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

according to John, Peter and Paul Jesus is our example but in today's church you have many teaching not to look to that example, very sad that so many are so lost.

1 John 2:6
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 Peter 2:21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1 Corinthians 11:1
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

I pray that one day the Lord will open your eyes to the fact that you have been persecuting me...

And that my doctrine is not unbiblical.

Act 24:14, But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

Gal 4:28, Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Gal 4:29, But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

@Backlit, you obviously didn't read the rest...or you would have realized that it was catering to your pov.
Not really. You described accurately how we are to obey, but I believe you, and many others here, are wrong in that they claim we are not obligated to obey. How can it be that we are not obliged to obey God when our first parents lost Eden through disobedience, Jesus died because of disobedience, and Jesus rose in order to empower us to obedience? Obedience has never been just one option among many.

Salvation (life) while in active rebellion is what the arch rebel desires and his persuasive power has not diminished. The great word 'love' is the catch cry of all misfits, (dare I use the word) from new age to charismatic movements including 'christians'. It is flung around like the great elixir without understanding that love is action that costs....not trumpeting..... which is no more than lip service.

So, do you believe that if we disobey on one point, that we are then condemned eternally for our disobedience?

Because that is the alternative to our point that we are not obligated to obey...that we are in fact obligated.

If we are in fact obligated, then Galatians 3:10 kicks in...which isn't a pretty picture, because Galatians 6:13 is a reality.

You said it. And you quoted scripture. Can scripture be broken?

Romans 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

John 5:24
Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.

hope this helps !!!

I never even heard of modalism until I read here in one of your posts. I looked up the definition and it's peculiar, but though I believe in the doctrine of 3 distinct persons my brain doesn't distinguish between them. I don't commonly pray to the Holy Spirit, but generally to the Father, yet I think of my fellowship with the Holy Spirit in the word as fellowship with Jesus. I'm not able to separate them at all in my mind, so perhaps I'm a modalist more than a trinitarian. To be honest, I believe that such classifications were created by men in disagreement with each other so that they could toss a brothers opinion into a bin with a label to justify disregarding them. I recall someone once labeling me a calvinist though I knew absolutely nothing about John Calvin beyond his name. It's nice to have these handy categories. I'll bet that the Lord gets a good laugh about it, but given my experience with people in the church and in the world, I can't say that I've met two people on the planet that believe all the same things or are in complete agreement about anything.

So lets take a look at One of the Distinct Persons in the Trinity.

Jesus used personal pronouns when referring to the Holy Spirit and at the same time makes the same distinctions between the Father, Son and Spirit here:

"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. "And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. "He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. "All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. "(John 16:7-15).

The Holy Spirit below does things that only a Person can do,

He leads (Matt. 4:1).
He is called God (Acts 5:3-4).
He helps and comforts (John 14:16, 16:7).
He convicts of sin (John 16:17).
He gives testimony of Jesus (John 15:26).
He teaches, guides and brings to remembrance (John 14:26, 16:13).
He speaks and instructs (Acts 8:29; 10:19; John 16:13).
He hears and speaks (John 16:13, Acts 28:25-27).
He can be lied to and tested (Acts 5:3-4,9).
He sends and gives life (Acts 13:4, John 3:6, Gen 1:3).
He is a witness (Acts 5:32)
He restrains (2 Thess. 2:7).
He prevents (Acts 16:6-7).
The Spirit "said" to Philip and Peter(Acts 8:29, 10:19).
Peter said he was "told" by the Spirit (Acts 11:12).
The Holy Spirit "solemnly testifies" (Acts 20:23).
He made some of the early Christians overseers to shepherd the Church. (Acts 20:28).
He wills (Acts 13:2).
He interprets our prayers (Rom. 8:26).
He knows and communicates (1 Cor. 2:11; Rom. 8:27).
He reveals (Eph. 3:5).
He has a will-He decides, chooses and distributes the Gifts to the church (1 Cor. 12:11).
He can be grieved (Eph. 4:30).

hope this helps !!!
