Striving to be good on our own won't get us to the good. Rather learning how to surrender completely to God while seeking first things first. But what are the first things to be? The Way up is down, but too people it seems have no sense of direction and don't know [or perhaps even want to know] which direction to turn and where or how to seek help.

That's the optimal concept when accepting a belief. However by taking that type of approach to something you believe so strongly, the brain will log that particular belief as real sensory information. So what was just a belief turns into a reality, and as much as my research shows there may be no way for the mind of the believer ever letting that belief truth go.

The very good things of God are the reality, God alone being good. Everything else is fiction although most people being dead believe they are living, but that is the fiction. The consuming fire will burn it all up so only that which is good remains.

who told you that? the bible says believers, at the time of Jesus, had many different opinions. imperial rome was the one that came along hundreds of years later and started killing people if they didnt all believe the exact way they told them to believe.

I think. What is the real purpose behind the Christian preaching the gospel of Jesus? Why do they want me to accept Gods salvation so badly? Is to become like them? I think. No. God wants you for yourself,* but you must be cleansed of the spiritual crap that you (all of us) were born into, just to stand in His presence; even just to receive a hug from Him.

He is ready, willing & able to so clean you, but you must ask Him to. He will not violate your choice in that matter. Death is not the desired outcome. It is the outcome if you don't deal with your most pressing issue.

*If we were interchangeable, He would not make a specific appeal just to you.
