If Catholics were willing to accept the scriptural feedback they are receiving with the same openness and faith that they are asking non-Catholics to accept their non-scripture based claims, I am of the opinion there would be a lot fewer Catholics in the world today.

If you had been reading the posts since the beginning of this thread, the Catholics on this thread have been the ones who were called liars and heretics by non-Catholics while we explained our beliefs to them. We, on the other hand, have not stooped to their level of animosity and hatred.

TexUs, in order to be a very good researcher, a person would look at the Pope's entire speech to see if this newspaper that you just printed was biased or not. Here is the Pope's 2010 Christmas entire address printed from the Vatican's website. So now, read it and figure it out whether the Pope actually said it.

Now that might be an interesting discussion...exactly how we got to the multitude of denominations of Christianity without the help of the Catholic church sustaining it, through the rise of Islam, and endless persecution, just so that some Christians (who have a less than Christian manner imho) can put it down so casually and dismissively, because they have decided that they know all the answers.

It was during my time in the States that I was taught the following:

Some of them were referred to as Scripture by the inspired men that could speak for God. Those are given.
The rest took time. They were not all written together, but within the first century the cannon we have today (no, you proud Catholic, your council in the 16th century didn't do it) was assembled and regarded as scripture by the first century church. These are the people that walked and learned from Christ and could identify "That's not accurate!".
And of course one also expects God's sovereign hand in preserving his word. The more archeological discoveries we find, the more this is reinforced that what we have today is accurate.

When you read the Bible...you read the Word of God.

Well said! :) I agree that God always uses the sinners. Even the Apostles were sinners. St. Paul was a murderer of Christians, and he was chosen by God. He became an instrument for God to spread the Gospel.

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

You pray to Jesus because He is God. You pray to the Father because the Father is God. Well, we can pray to the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is God. All these three are one because we believe in the Holy Trinity. I will and can pray to the Father, the Son, and to the Holy Spirit because they are one. If you cannot understand this simple point of view from us, then it is useless answering the rest of your questions.
