Ho hum. If you prefer to live in an alternative reality of your own invention, there really isn't much I can do for you.

Best wishes, 2RM.

So quickly resorting to ad hominem?

As a potentially interesting and informative alternative to just falling back on fallacies, you could check out what I'm saying.

Much love!

It is interesting to notice the cynicism and contempt ordinary Americans have for experts in their fields. You may have your reasons, but I doubt they would withstand critical scrutiny.

Best wishes, 2RM.
No, we love our experts! But not the phoney ones, who make claims without evidence, or against the evidence, or with falsified evidence. We are not blind to the difference.

Much love!

It wasn't an ad hominem. Ad hominems are when one chooses to focus on, say, a character flaw irrelevant to the argument in an attempt to discredit one's antagonist.

Fortunately we don't seem to have many such phoney experts over here in Europe.

It's turning the discussion from the topic, to the person. The fallacy name, "Ad Hominem", means, "to the man". You've stopped discussing global warming, and have started discussing me. It doesn't have to be negative, it's a redirection.

You did not make a comment about the topic, you made a comment about me.

If you prefer to live in an alternative reality of your own invention,

Much love!

It could have been worse. I might have told you what I really thought. But in an attempt to keep this discussion civil, I will merely point out that my comment was relevant to our bone of contention. Ad hominems are not.

Best wishes, 2RM.

There have been periods of climate change before; at least twice. First was the ice age and then came the thaw. And perhaps even the flood might be called a climate change.
if you believe biblical history is reasonably accurate maybe you could point me to the period of the ice age?

The sun is going to do what the sun is going to do.
So, we face climate change. Doubtless the wealthy west will survive. But the poor in Africa, Latin America, and southern Asia face some tough times ahead. Given this situation what is the appropriately ethical response? I have some ideas, but before I launch into them, I want to open up the forum to your thoughts.

Best wishes, 2RM.

I worked for government environmental protection agencies for over thirty years, and I heard a lot of ideas over that time span. What are yours?

According to the new tax/spend bill in congress right now, they will be focusing on cow farts along with all the rest. It's about control.

Even "fossil fuels" is a misnomer when you are speaking of oil, it's not a fossil fuel. Many depleted oil fields have had their oil replenished by natural earth processes. Dinosaurs didn't become puddles of oil, decay doesn't work that way.

Much love!

Ppl seem so anxious to OUTKNOW another yet end up looking somewhat less.

Lol call this what you will but.......I really care not.

I have to say, I am disappointed in you all thus far. You all may not like to admit it, but the fact is, the science is in and inescapable. Climate change is happening, and happening now, as witnessed by the shrinking polar ice-caps and the steady retreat of the worlds glaciers. Meanwhile, none of you seem to care one whit for the vulnerable poor who will be the front line victims of this sad state of affairs. When you are ready to discuss this, so am I. Until you are, I am not. It would be a waste of my time, and yours. Meanwhile, I will leave you with this thought; that such wisdom as remains to us lies in hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.

Best wishes, 2RM.

I worked briefly in Africa - Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Kenya. The people who live there have far more pressing issues to deal with.

I gave a lecture at a small college in Kenya one winter’s evening. The temperature was terribly cold for them. They were all bundled up in coats, hats and gloves, and there was no heating. (In fact, there wasn’t any electricity; and there was no glass in the windows.) I was wearing a short sleeve shirt. (The temperature was somewhere between 55-60 degrees Fahrenheit.) The students were amazed at my ability to endure such bitterly cold temperatures dressed as I was.

I asked what your ideas were because I’m genuinely interested.

Per Jesus we are to love our neighbor as ourselves and since God sees no difference in a soul well
Loving our criminal neighbors means locking them up. For their own good and for the good of humanity. Actually the NT goes one step further. It calls for the execution of our criminal "neighbors". The Climate Nazis are committing diabolical crimes against humanity.

References, please. I don't read the Gospels, that way, at all.

Climate change is happening, and happening now...
The Green Agenda is not about the impact of the climate at all. It is about the destruction of all societies. Climates have changed from time to time over the millennia. But no one politicized this until now. And keep in mind that since God is going to burn up this earth supernaturally, all this talk about saving "Mother Earth" is nonsense. Also keep in mind that China, India, and Russia do not give a hoot about this Western obsession. Which means that all the money wasted on this will go down the drain. Electric cars are EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS and there is not one iota of energy reduction. Windmills are EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS and again there is not one iota of energy reduction. So if you love to be scammed go ahead. This is a total scam.

The best thing would be to advise them to stop having more babies than their countries can comfortably support, even Attenborough says the same thing..:)-

When the rains stop and agriculture fails there will be no more pressing issue to deal with.

Attenborough is no friend of humanity. He is a part of the gang of globalist elites. There is more than enough wealth and arable land to give everyone on the planet a decent life and not require any reduction of population. But the Satanic globalists have an agenda to DEPOPULATE the planet for their own benefit. Not because they love the earth or humanity. So first it was COVID, then the lethal vaccines, and now it is deliberate shortages of food and fuel plus skyrocketing inflation. This is all engineered destruction on a global scale.

The NT does not stop with the Gospels. Kindly read and study the epistle to the Romans.

I'm no great fan of Paul. And giving a Biblical reference is really quite easy: Book, chapter and verse(s) suffice. We've got the book (Romans), all we need now is chapter and verse.

Best wishes, 2RM.

I spoke with some U.N. representatives one morning over breakfast in Blantyre, Malawi. The subject of food aid came up. I was told that the government warehouses were full to the brim with food donated by the United States. I thought perhaps then distribution must be the issue, a logistical problem. The U.N. representatives laughed and nodded their heads. When I asked what was so funny they replied that the people receive about 10 percent of the food that is donated; the rest is sold on the black market and the funds go into the hands of the “benevolent” dictator. It costs a lot of kwacha to maintain a dictator’s life of luxury, even in an extremely poor nation like Malawi.
