For as long as I can remember there have been people saying that we are living in the end times, that the Armageddon is near, that Christ is returning, that the end of the world is upon us.

It seems like there have been people saying this in every generation since Christ. Even the apostles thought that they were living in the end times. Yet it never happened, the world kept on going.

People say that we live in dark times but we actually live in a peaceful world if you look at history and compare it to the world before WW2. Before then there was always wars, several wars happening all around the world at once. Europe and Asia especially always had wars between neighbouring kingdoms all the time with borders constantly being redrawn. Today is relatively peaceful in comparison.

On the other hand the fact that many nations posses nuclear weapons means that the end of the world as we know it can happen very quickly without much warning. A world war between Russia or China and America could result in a nuclear war that could turn continents into a thermonuclear wastelands. It may even occur through a computer virus or bug that unintentionally launches nuclear missiles.

What are your thoughts?

Hi Armour of God,

I believe we are living in the end times of the Gentiles ruling the world. Daniel`s great image (Dan. 2) reveals that there is a divided kingdom after the Romans. They haven`t emerged yet but are in the wings. You see -

1. Babylon is getting rebuilt Jer. 51: 63 & 63 says that it will sink and not rise. That hasn`t happened yet.
2. Much of the world is against Israel.
3. Alliance between Iran (Persia) & Russia. (Ez. 38: 5)
4. Potential of controlling the world through CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) & ID, (Identity).
5. Apostasy of much of organized Christianity.

In western nations the days of letting raw sewage out into the ocean are long gone. We have sewage plants. The sewage system has its own pipe lines, seperate to rainwater pipelines. These sewage pipelines go to the sewage plant where it cleans the water before it goes out sea. So our waters aren't so polluted.

Marilyn, did you ever ask yourself why most of the world is against Israel? Could they be doing not so nice things in the world, especially in the Middle East?

Did you know that there are only 7 million Jews in Israel while in the surrounding countries there are 400 - 470 million Arabs.

Israel has been attacked constantly throughout its short 77 years back in Israel - Iran from the East, Hezbollah from the North, Hamas from the West and the Hooties from the South. How is it that they have not been wiped out? They are a very small country about 50 miles across with a very small population.

There are Arabs living in Israel, some are in the government and the army. Interesting.

Do you know of the 6-day war? It was fought in June 1967. It was fought between Israel and the Arab neighbors Egypt, Jrdan and Syria. The nations of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kwait, Algeria and other contributed troops and arms to the Arab forces. These forces outnumbered Israel's 3 - 1. They also had better arms and artillery etc. Israel was just a new nation and didn't have much in the way of a military.

However, after 6 days the Israelis had defeated the great Arab army and even taken back more territory - the West Bank, the Golan Heights, and the Sinai Peninsular. I wonder who was on Israel`s side?

The U.S. guaranteed regional balance by supplying key equipment, such as Hawk surface-to-air missiles, and provided political backing in the UN while signalling that it would not oppose an Israeli strike against Egypt.

The United States has always been Israel's god.

But the statistics were still 3-1.

Ok but is that not applied to any prophet or messiah. The Jews still believe the messiah is yet to come. Whereas Christ is not only the Messiah but God Himself.

I am thankful for forums like this and i enjoy reading the comments made by Christians who have a love for God and who love Israel too.

I feel that the end could still be a long way off and that these prophetic signs are " Just Prophecy Signs " and that we will see { MANY MANY SIGNS } to come before the resurrection / rapture........ prophecy Signs are Signs-

A Sign simply points the way to show us how close we are to the end / destination of the path. I simply do not see any signs of the tribulation where we have massive famine, massive wars, massive diseases, and plagues and sicknesses. I do not see the stars and heavens doing anything different than they have done before. Many prophecy signs are promised, but when we begin to see the signs then the rapture / resurrection will happen sometime afterward.

I personally do not see that things are much different than how they have been since Yahushua walked the earth. There have been many famines, many wars, many sicknesses, and massive plagues, many problems with livestock and animals and many other horrible things happening every now and then since Yahushua was on earth.

But a single generation will not pass before these things are fulfilled. We are not seeing signs of the heavens going into disorder, we are not seeing signs of massive world war or even famine and drought and crop devastation, even the rate of the diseased are decreasing.

Global new HIV infections have declined by just 18% in the past seven years, from 2.2 million in 2010 to 1.8 million in 2017,

ALso, there have been many plagues that killed millions of people. The Black Death killed 50 million people in the 14th century or 60 percent of Europe's entire population.

The world is doing great overall, these signs have always been here since the time of Yahoshua but the Bible shows that there will be signs of the world being overcome and overwhelmed by these judgments. There have always been these same prophecy signs but I just do not see that we are yet close to the destination as described in the manuscripts of the Bible.

i would love to continue reading more comments in time and truly enjoy them. thank you.
