12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
You may not be able to change Congress but you can change the world around you. We are identifying with the "I" now, that is our main focus. Lets talk straight for moment about many in Christianity having no idea about the I in them. The problem lies with the understanding of the HolySpirit. What he is doing, where he is at, and doing what Jesus specifically said he would do. Since the early 1900's a real focus was placed on the acts of the HolySpirit. God was moving and great things, wonderful things happened and new appreciation of the HolySpirit began.
But time was not kind to the HolySpirit, men began, it always begins with man. Men began to interject their ideas and their thoughts on all the HolySpirit was to do. When in actuality we have written what the HolySpirit will do when he is poured out on humanity. So all your understanding is going to hinge on what you know about the HolySpirit. If you do not get this right, your understanding of Christianity will be very much in wanting, for lack of understanding. We witness it all over the world in Christianity.
Those that have less knowledge of the things of man will be more app to grasp the spirit of understanding Christ in a more powerful way than they have known. It's called growth, those that preach Christ as life will spend more time on getting junk out than they do preaching Christ, amazing how we will stand on nonsense. So take it or leave it, if the HolySpirit is seen as just doing things for you then you will still need time and growth in the schoolhouse.
See if this does not help your growth, "the gospel is not what Jesus did (other than death, burial, and ressurection) when he walked the earth." The gospel is a revelation of the indwelling Christ according to the Apostle Paul, our gospel is a person in you. When I say we preach Christ as life, I'm talking about you knowing the Christ in you as your only life. The only way you can know that is if the HolySpirit reveals it to you. You will never understand the Christ life until the HolySpirit reveals it. If you have the HolySpirit doing everything under the sun but teaching-revealing Christ in you, then Christianity is just a game no life. You will live and have some kind of life but it will not be the life intended for you from the foundation of the world. You exsist but there is no Christ in you life expressed. Christ in you life is a revealed understanding, you literally see Christ as your life. Because he is, if a survey was taken on life right now how many Christians would stand and say "I had a revelation of the indwelling Christ I see his life in me now and my only life. You see there is no other life, what ever you think life is, if it's not Christ then it's not life.
Life is Christ, and that life is in you as your only. Where do you see any other life in the scriptures, you cannot find one. You find Adams life and you find Christ life, you are living one or the other. There is no life in anything but Christ.
