Don't fall into the trap, of thinking your faith is solely your doing - it is your doing in part, but praise God daily

You're right, after reading my post again, I agree both are proffered to the sinner, but the act of God forgiving the sin of sinners doesn't happen corporately on Calvary, but individually when the sinner asks for it.

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

Truth, you've just lost the debate... You said Jerusalem "will rule" which is future tense -- that's not what the angel told John. He said "reigneth" which is present tense. Understand? The city which the angel told John "reigneth over the kings of the Earth" at the time of John received the...

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

We'll never know how many of these "protestants" are actually Jesuits in disguise. They may think they're getting away with things now, but the truth will eventually come out and they will beg God to forgive their papist loyalites and receive nothing but fiery retribution.

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

Find me one verse in the OT where it specifically says the Messiah is Jesus Christ. Oh, you can't? So, how is He to be recognized? By His deeds which were foretold in prophecy - THE SAME WAY WE RECOGNIZE THE PAPACY AS ANTICHRIST. Good gravy, what do you think the Greek "Anti-Christos" means...

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

So many errors... A "Woman" in New Testament prophecy represents the church, either a: Pure Church (Jeremiah 6:2; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-27) Apostate Church (Ezekiel 16:15-58; Ezekiel 23:2-21; Hosea 2:5; Hosea 3:1; Revelation 14:4) The "Wine" is false doctrine (Isaiah 29:9-13) with...

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

I've made my point. If you refuse to accept it, then please explain why you think the Papacy must be specifically named in Scripture in order to be properly identified, but the Creator/Redeemer didn't deserve the same courtesy.

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

Have you never read in Daniel where after the fall of the fourth beast and rise of the ten horns there would rise among them "another little horn"? Rome was the fourth beast which fell, after which the Ten Barbarian tribes arose and began to fight each other until they agreed the Bishop of...

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

"The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, He is Jesus Christ himself, hidden under the veil of flesh.” - Catholic National, July 1895 There are many quotes where the popes are claimed to be "another God on Earth" and such. How were the Jews to identify the Messiah? By an OT...

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

The King of the North refers to the king of Babylon, which is symbolic in prophecy. Babylon fell long ago in antiquity and the prophet Isaiah says in absolutely no uncertain terms that the empire of Babylon "shall never be rebuilt" -- which means this Babylonian "North" is symbolic, WHICH...

Understanding "THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED" passage.

Nope, I agree with the Protestant Reformers that the "man of sin" is the line of papal leaders who claim to be "Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under veil of flesh" and claim "the sentence of the priest precedes, and God subscribes to it".

Don't fall into the trap, of thinking your faith is solely your doing - it is your doing in part, but praise God daily

It's more accurate to preach that PROVISION for forgiveness, not forgiveness itself, is proffered to the sinner. Forgiveness is granted only when the sinner seeks it in penitent faith. For instance, while forgiveness was in the heart of his master, the Unmerciful Servant didn't receive...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

All praise and glory to God, my friend. I preach an unpopular truth, but preach it I must. Today's church is filled with weak, sniveling, defeated pew warmers whose eyes are fixed on human weakness instead of Christ's strength. My old boss used to ask the crew when we missed a deadline if the...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

You and I don't do the conquering - we do the surrendering. JESUS DOES THE CONQUERING, right? "More than conquerors" doesn't mean "diplomatic immunity from the guilt of habitual sin" as many Christians today so desperately define it. It means Jesus in us conquering sin for us with guaranteed...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

You're welcome! I always say God gave us marriage to demonstrate the kind of relationship He wants with us, but even more close... yet, somehow most Christians think they can be unfaithful to God yet wouldn't dream of being unfaithful to their spouse. Did our spouse die create the world in...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Y'know, "fall" into it. You get a horrible work assignment one morning and instead of thanking God, you get all filled up with the devil and get mad at the boss. You've "fallen" into sin. Later, the Holy Spirit reminds you "all things work together for good to them that love God" and you feel...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

It's not enough to confess our guilt...we must repent of that which brings guilt upon us by surrendering our hearts to Jesus and trusting in His grace to both cover our sin and empower us to turn from them: "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

"Walk with the Lord" in Scripture is a colloquialism for "walking obediently" which naturally is the antitheses of "walking after the flesh" or "walking in sin". The Bible differentiates between the "Just Man" who "falls" into sin and the "Presumptuous Man" who deliberately climbs a ladder down...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Regarding Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus didn't say "ALL" who are commanded to depart will be those He never knew. If He did say "ALL" then the OSAS crowd would have in this passage irrefutable proof for OSAS. But, He didn't say "ALL" --- He said "MANY". Which means there will be OTHERS AMONG...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

I've said many times that the "Two" don't replace the "Ten", they summarize the "Ten" because if you love God, you'll keep the first four, and if you love your neighbor, the last six. Therefore, "lawlessness" refers to, among other things, willfully and presumptuously breaking the Ten...
