In Jesus name or the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit?

Yes Yes This doesn't speak of Baptism And this last one? Yes, this one is speaking of water baptism also. [ Actually, they didn't accept Jesus into their lives, they gave their lives to Jesus. Water baptism was not a dedication it was the method of having onec's sins remitted...

Is The Great Commission For Today

Richard, Despensationalism is not Biblical. You asked if the Great Commission is for today, What did Jesus say? Make disciples of the nations, The Greek word is "Ethos", it is translated "GENTILES". Jesus told them to go to the Gentiles.I don't understand why you guys think the twelve only went...

    Open dialog

I'm game. I've tried to do this for some time now, but have only met with frustration. My experience has been that Christians just want to hold on to their doctrines.

Is the Holy Spirit to be Worshipped?

I asked you for Scripture for that. Jesus told His disciples to pray to the Father. He also told the woman at the well, the time was coming when the true worshipers would worship the Father in spirit and in truth. Everything I see says to worship the Father, can you give me Scripture that shows...

Should we pray to God or Jesus or both?

I find it interesting that people are arguing Jesus is God and no one seems to able to define what "God:" means.

Is the Holy Spirit to be Worshipped?

How many time do I need to repeat this? Jesus "IS" God, Jesus "IS NOT" the Father. Please answer the question what does "GOD" mean to you?

Should we pray to God or Jesus or both?

there seems to be many different thoughts on the Trinity among the posters in this thread. I asked a few what the "God" means and no one seems to answer. People are saying Jesus is God and the Father is God, but no one seems to want to define what "God" means.

Should we pray to God or Jesus or both?

there seems to be a lot of confusion on this issue. What do you mean God chose to reveal Himself in a specific order? Are you saying that God is one being revealing himself in different ways?

    Protestant Reformation

I don't buy the church age idea, but I was not being hard on the Catholic church. I was simply pointing out the there was not this great return to Biblical doctrine that many seem to think came out of the Reformation. I actually like the way Aspen put it. It should have been called the...

    Protestant Reformation

The statement is present tense, I didn't however say those things were happening now. Enough of the smoke screen, it doesn't change the issue, the history of the Protestants is not all the different than the Catholics. So, I'll ask again, what is the great benefit?

    Judgement Day in May?

No, the end won't be before the next 31/2 years. You see the temple must be rebuilt first. Until the temple is rebuilt Christ will not return.

    Closed communion

Actually I do hold to the real presence. My point is that Scripture doesn't mandate it. Neither Jesus nor the apostles state this. Jesus could just as easily been using a metaphor as He does so many time. Let me ask you, Is Jesus literally a branch? When Paul chastised the Corinthians for...

    Closed communion

OK, but where does Scripture teach this. You see that is the issue, I don't see anything in the Scriptures that speak of consecrating the bread and wine. Paul's letter to the Corinthians would have been a great place to mention this since they were already abusing the communion, but he says...

    Protestant Reformation

So where in that Statement did I say that those things were presently happening. I said not many have changed with the Protestant church. There is nothing in that statement that implies those things are happening now. It simply implies that to this point in time not much has changed between the two.

Is the Holy Spirit to be Worshipped?

Because He told His disciples to pray to the Father. You didn't answer the question, what does "God" mean to you? There is confusion because you didn't' know that I said Jesus was not the Father. They are not the same person.

Is the Holy Spirit to be Worshipped?

Fast to Jesus??? I'm asking for Scripture, but your giving me any. I must therefore conclude that you are inferring it. Jesus is God but He is not the Father. Jesus told us to pray to the Father, He did not say pray to me. Again, what dose "God" mean to you? I believe this is where the confusion...

Should we pray to God or Jesus or both?

I said above that they are not the same person, I said Jesus is not the Father. I think the confusion here is what does "God" mean?

    Closed communion

Are you talking about the real presence or transubstantiation? I think these passage prove the real presence, I see where you can infer it but it is not stated. Remember Jesus said, take eat this is my body. We don't have that bread. He didn't say all bread is my body, He said this bread. So...

Should we pray to God or Jesus or both?

It depends on what aspect you are speaking of. They are equal in nature, not order.

Is the Holy Spirit to be Worshipped?

I'm asking where Scripture teaches this. Jesus said, 'Our Father which art in heaven' That is how He told His disciples to pray.
