Interesting 63, although I have read that account many times, I never really thought of it in that way. I cannot disagree, we learn something every day. Good post.

If we think about it, sin was the real factor. All our woes originated with sin. God warns us against sin, but does not protect us from the consequences of it.

Part of this confusion stems from the 2011 edition of the NIV, which refers to miscarriage. Pregnancy is not part of the requirement for the ritual. Seriously though, that passage is bizarre. I’m sure it could have some meaning in spirit but I can’t glean what. I read the whole law exactly once. A few times I’ve searched for a small piece of it when I thought I saw a spiritual significance but because of the verse that says, I gave them some laws that were not good for them and that did not bring life, I never really looked at it much, since I don’t which ones weren’t good for them.

Im thinking someone at some time may have searched the laws on adultery thinking they might find what Jesus wrote in the dirt, but…I’ve not heard anything about it…
