Hello there

I thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ that He is merciful and gracious, and that His love will be poured out upon those who have placed their trust in Him: that He will be with them, and be their comfort. That those in Afghanistan who are caught up in the conflict, and the danger of death at the hands of the Taliban, will be enabled to endure. Their faith strengthened and their minds kept in perfect peace as they wait on Him, whatever the outcome.

I pray that God's will, will be done in each and every one, in the knowledge that their life in Christ Jesus transcends this present one: that there is resurrection life promised to all who have placed their trust in Him.

May relations, friends and loved ones, along with those caught up in the conflict be comforted in heart and strengthened in faith as they pray for the deliverance of their loved ones.

May the members of the forces who have gone to Afghanistan to bring out those who are relying on them for safe passage away from the conflict, be protected and enabled to perform their duties with patience, and be kept safe from the possibility of conflict: and may their task be accomplished and all be delivered.

May your will be done Heavenly Father, in all things, and your name glorified.

Dear God and Father of our Lord Jesus Chris,

We thank you that your hand is not shortened that it cannot save, and that your love and grace is given to us without measure.

We pray for those in Afghanistan, and throughout the world who are living in danger of their lives because they have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. We pray that they will be strengthen with might in their inner man, that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith, that they, being rooted and grounded in love, may with all saints know what is the depth, length, breadth and height, and the love of Christ which passes knowledge that they may be filled with all your fulness.

We pray that your will may be done in them and through them, for your name and glory's sake. May the comfort of Your presence be with them, and the peace which passes all understanding be their portion as they wait on You. May their eyes be lifted up to where Christ sits at Your right hand, away from their current circumstances, and may they be very aware that the power with which You raised Christ from the dead, is the same power that is working in them, and that Your strength is made perfect in their weakness. May they be filled with thanksgiving and praise and rejoice in all things that Your name may be glorified in them, and their hearts established in the grace and love which is in Christ Jesus.

May they live looking for Christ's appearing in glory, in the sure and certain hope that they will appear with Him there, and rejoice that their lives are not for this life only, but that they have the hope of resurrection life in Christ Jesus their Lord and Saviour.
