You have to go to Calvary to see where Christ taught the holiness of God’s Law most powerfully.
Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.

Jesus showed what true obedience is, we call it the law of Christ or the law of love, 2 commands which contain ALL the law and prophets,
the reason a child of god does not need the law of moses is he has the law of Christ, he does not need to be told do not do this, he knows it’s a sin
what he has to learn is to love love does no harm, it does not sin,
the reason a child of god does not need the law of moses is he has the law of Christ, he does not need to be told do not do this, he knows it’s a sin
I am confused by EGs answers. It seems his group have taken the language of love and not understood it.
Something to do withIt is thanks to the <<law of moses>> anyone ever knew anything anyhow about Jesus Christ. Your talk that <<a child of god does not need the law of moses>> is plain bigotry of one who actually hates <<the law of moses>> because it finds him guilty and in NEED OF FORGIVENESS FOR transgressing the Law of God. Because it hurts his haughty and God- and Law defying SELF-RIGHTEOUS PRIDE AND COMFORT.
seems better than ones religion being their "faith" though, huh?but your faith is in your religion.
You're not "a new creature" if you don't repent - i did repent. That’s how. Came to faith to begin with
ie, stop sinning and start obeying His commandments.
If your god is so weak and cannot determine by ones heart if he has true faith or not, I would find one who is all powerful, I pray you meet mine one dayGod tests and measures your faith and your love for Him by your obedience to His commandments. That's why "works" are essential to salvation and why you will be judged according to your works.
"Works" are simply, keeping His commandments.
i mean pls lol. we should even be obeying the laws that others don't?If there is no law against stealing, a believer is free to steal, is he not?
Is a believer free to steal or not? If not, why not? Please answer the question.
I do not need to rid myself of the lawOne might take you seriously, were one not conscious of your <need> - not to rid yourself of The Law of God, but of the Seventh Day Sabbath of the LORD GOD.
I am telling you, straight in the face, this.
It is thanks to the <<law of moses>> anyone ever knew anything anyhow about Jesus Christ.
And here you areYour talk that <<a child of god does not need the law of moses>> is plain bigotry of one who actually hates <<the law of moses>> because it finds him guilty and in NEED OF FORGIVENESS FOR transgressing the Law of God. Because it hurts his haughty and God- and Law defying SELF-RIGHTEOUS PRIDE AND COMFORT.
Afraid not. Paul's idea was actually about God's concept of spiritual Israel in the Promise by Faith which was first given through Abraham (see Galatians 3). That Promise by Faith continued through Isaac, and then to Jacob. And when Jacob received the Blessing, and wrestled with the Angel, then God gave him the new name 'Israel' to represent that Blessing. That Promise was not to be privy only to Israelites, but would be for the Gentiles too!
Gal 3:8
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, "In thee shall all nations be blessed."
KJV
Thus what Apostle Paul shows at the end of Romans 2 about becoming a spiritual Jew (Judean) he actually defined in Romans 9 regarding the spiritual Israel concept, which is the concept I have been talking about, and it involves ALL peoples that believe the Promise by Faith first given through Abraham.
And furthermore, the name 'Israel' being the more correct term for what Paul was talking about, because the term 'Jew' only applies to a small portion of actual Israelites per history (i.e., the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, Levi, and some small remnants of the northern tribes that migrated to Jerusalem refusing Jeroboam's golden calf idol worship; the rest of today's Jews are foreigners that converted to Judaism).
This is so rare, not many ever believe the truth. Good testimony !Jesus was the Lion of the tribe of Judah (the King). In other words, He had to come by way of Judah for His Kingship. When
we believe in His death, burial, and resurrection, we just had a Passover experience, which is very necessary for our sins to
be forgiven. After that conversion we become spiritual Jews because of our faith.
In order to become an Israelite, we have to wrestle with our angel (God's Face or Presence) and get the revelation that God is
sovereign and He don't need any help from man. That is what God revealed to Jacob and God gave him that name or (God's
nature), which is what God gives us when we are tired of trying to please God in our flesh. When God writes His name in our
forehead (Mind of Christ), we become that Israelite by nature, which makes us an Overcomer!

Something to do with
Joh_1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
and this part
Rom_7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Rom_7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
so many "law" keepers comiting adultry.
Even the JEws are dead to the law, well supposed to be.
Got a lot to do with
Luk 5:36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
Luk 5:37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
Luk 5:38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
Luk 5:39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
still so many never tasted the new
Act 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Act 2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
and so prefer the old, the law, that one can only serve one master thingy and
Rom_2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
and one more
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
nudder bit
Rom_4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Not a troll on purpose, methinks, but looks like a pawn of some larger force (as his avatar indicates?) , the world church, outside of Christ, directing false teachings he posts at times.Mjrhealth the troll again, throwing in posts in between anything and anything but relevant saying and meaning nothing but nothing.
The Trio Trolls Co. has taken over again. This is so rare, not many ever believe the truth. Good testimony !
Again? When was it NOT?The Trio Trolls Co. has taken over again.
I do not need to rid myself of the law
But you need to heed pauls advice that if your going to follow one, your indebted to follow all
if you still need the schoolmaster, you should ask yourself why you have not graduated yet
as the NT says, the new covenant is a far better one that the old, which was weak and fading away
why you want to adhere to a weak and fading way is beyond me

Joh_1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
research question (not rhetorical): is THAT the same, or in line with , the world wide church from rome ?You declare the Law was not given to Moses BY CHRIST, but was given by satan devil to oppose <grace and truth>.
If you provide a quote for that I think it will become plain that Paul meant that for ceremonial law, Not civil. Paul is easy to misinterpret and many people do so “to their destruction”But you need to heed pauls advice that if your going to follow one, your indebted to follow all
Maybe because Christ himself told us to keep the law? “Do what they tell you to do, even though they don’t keep the laws themselves”why you want to adhere to a weak and fading way is beyond me
