Hmmm just saw this post on fb.

Bob Katter

Katter wants North Queensland to be a separate state by the looks, would he have any success? That would be interesting, if Nth Qld were to become a separate state, it would be the most conservative state in the whole of Australia.

Josho,

Yes, Bob Katter has been pushing for a separate state in north Qld from about Rockhampton north. This seems to be because he regards the State govt has not doing enough for the people of the north who live in such isolated areas.

Now Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party has come out with a strong pro-life policy.

As a Queenslander, I will vote for the potential politician who will do the least amount of damage to the state and who will speak his mind on why we are in the mess we are in.

Sadly most other people will vote for those who they think will give then a kickback for their vote. It is not corruptions according to a previous premier, as he spent our tax money for the benefit of his party to stay in power. It is called expedient political judgement and never what it really is, corruption of the highest order.

Instead of spending $200,000 on drought proofing the se corner of the state by building the only viable dam he was responsible for the government spending over ten times this amount without putting a viable solution in place. Now the SE corner will be faced with water restrictions forever because the cost of undoing their bad decision to not build a dam when only a couple more properties needed to be purchased will be so high because of the development that has taken place within the dam perimeter itself. That is the cost of the Political Expediency to get in and stay in power. Both major parties have indulged in this debilitation practice over the years.

Most people in Brisbane do not think about outside of Brisbane much at all, not to mention have childish stupid ideas about the rest of QLD, no wonder that from rocky up that they despise people from SEQ.
