We Live in a time when the church is full of confusion.... Babylon. All one has to do is read any Prophecy Forum out there, including this one. This Babel we are seeing is symptom of a greater malady in the church as a whole, which is a false approach to scripture using the carnal mind of man.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:7-8)

Prophecy cannot be understood by the fleshly organ of the Mind, But must be revealed by the Spirit of Christ, the "Mind of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2:16)

Without the Spirit and only relying on Human reason will always lead to understanding prophecy from a subjective interpretation of the text, and Peter is quick to tell us that "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." (1 Peter 1:20) In Other words this is the very first principle we must eliminate if we are to understand Prophecy rightly. Then Peter follows this saying: "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (1 Peter 1:21) Here we see the crux of the Problem, The Will man interferes with the teaching of the Holy Ghost, and only the Holy Ghost can reveal the Intent of the Prophecy for He inspired those things.

The Holy Ghost cannot BEGIN to teach us until we reach the point of NOT Knowing, till we are so lost That we cry out to Him to teach us. It is not until we can pray with the Psalmist;

This is how false religions start, By the will of man and private interpretation and then they form into cliques and certain people follow certain interpretations of things. Thus Human reason and the carnal mind perpetuates and maintains the Harlot system. Most Christians are victim to this Babylon system and though many are well meaning they are never able to rise above this carnal thinking in their Christian walk. This is why there is no true unity of the Spirit in the church, for men are tossed to and fro by the teachings of men rather than the truth of the Holy Ghost.

Take for example your interpretation here of Babylon being the Jerusalem. Now rationally that makes sense to you and you can defend it till you are blue in the face and another can come along and say Rome and the Roman church is Babylon, and they could give a compelling argument as to why and now you have two factions in the church both based on a partial truth and a partial lie. The Pride of man then keeps the two sides apart on the whole matter and whole truth is never arrived at thus perpetuating the confusion (Babel) and the system of division.

Very few actually will escape this cycle and see the fact that they are promoting Babylon themselves and are in fact part of the Harlot themselves when they are relying on their carnal mind to approach scripture and this is the big flaw the modern educated church is falling victim to emphasizing scholarship over Holy Spirit.

When it comes to the topic of prophecy, no where is this more evident than on any of the myriad of Prophecy forums out there.

You have on one side the pretrib rapture camp and their adherents, You have the preterists and the Postmills and the amills, the Adventists, the zionists, the antisemites, EACH GROUP thinking they have it all figured out and they surround themselves with likeminded people and form a "church", a church of the partial truth for they have no fellowship with the whole body of Christ, instead they limit themselves to only their creed and mindset of their preSCRIBED position which is their own form of textualism and then they propagate their view in hopes of swaying others to follow them in their partial truth. Meanwhile they are ever learning but never able to arrive at the full truth of the topic. Oh They may come to some agreement amongst themselves in one matter But it is a unity of compromise sacrificing truth in order to get along with others in a false unity, and this will likely increase as we approach the end, In fact this is likely how the strong delusion will work in them for they would rather believe a lie than to honestly know the truth.

The Blessing of the Book of Revelation and studying it is that the Honest good hearted person will be brought to their knees by it studying it, for they will eventually realize that they do not understand it. It is when we reach this Point that the Holy Ghost can teach us when we realize our carnal mind cannot grasp the full scope of what is there and that we are inadequate to understand in our fleshly mind that he can begin to teach us and we can begin to see the fulness of what Christ has to offer us. Until then we will forever be bouncing between the opinions of men never arriving at the truth of the matter.

By the same token the more we resist the holy Ghost and think we can figure it all out the more we will go down the rabbit hole of Babylon and confusion. Many Scholars have literally lost their minds living in this form of Hubris and they surround themselves with yaysayers and allies in order to maintain their deception. They immediately condemn any who challenge them, Gang up on them and ignore their criticisms all together, thus quenching the Spirit completely.

This is not exclusively a "prophecy" problem, But it is most evident in Prophecy where there is more uncertainty. But this same mindset has led to divides such as Eternal security vs. Conditional security, Calvinism vs Arminianism, Grace vs. works, Ad infinitum.... Some here go so far as to say Unity is impossible, and that any unity will be a compromise on the truth.... the problem is they think they have all the truth themselves and do not understand that "we all know in part" And it is not until the fulness has come in that we shall fully know.... Until they can come see that they are lacking we will be living in Babylon and how can we sing the sweet songs of Zion by the rivers of Babylon?

You miss the entire point of this post. This post is about the mindset that leads to harlotry in the church, Not a study of who the harlot is or is not. In fact that sort of argument is part of the harlotry that is taking root in the church, and in particular on Christian prophecy forums. In fact, your response illustrates perfectly the Point I am making. Most people cannot see the harlotry in their own teachings this is an attempt to show this by getting to the root of the assumptions that lead to harlotry, which is the Pride of man and their faith in their own intellect and reason. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. (1 Corinthians 13:12)

What is 1 Corinthians 13th chapter Known as? The Chapter on love more specifically agape Love, Charity. It is this Love that is perfected in us that is to be completed in us (1 John 2:5) The attitude of a proud mind arguing is contrary to Agape being perfected in us, and prevents this from occurring. It is this childlike thinking that prevents Spiritual growth in the first place and leads to harlotry. Read when you have a chance the first three chapters of 1 Corinthians, especially the first 5 or so verses of chapter 3 as Paul places the mind of man its rightful place.

That is correct. The pride of Human intellect is what builds the towers, which opposes the teaching of the Holy Ghost and Spiritual maturation of the Believer to have God's Love perfected in us in fellowship with one another. In Other words we are our own worst enemy, and this part of our sinful nature prevents us from even seeing this harlot attitude at work in our lives. Actually we CAN understand God's plans for our future.

The Holy Ghost cannot BEGIN to teach us until we reach the point of NOT Knowing, till we are so lost That we cry out to Him to teach us. It is not until we can pray with the Psalmist;

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. (Psalm 25:3-4)

It is only then that the Holy Ghost can begin to teach you, and in the order Spoken of, first you must learn His ways, then His Paths, then you must be led in truth, and even then You must wait on Him to reveal the truth in His own time.

The Carnal mind of man can only lead to Babylon. A Mixture, and a compromise of the Truth. Man's religions built around the will of man will always lead to Babylon, and the harlot religion.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13:43)

Babylon is synonymous with sin, not confusion.

The Holy Spirit only leads us to truth as we study the scriptures to rightly divide the word.

I disagree that the only way to know is not know.
