Just a word of encouragement, as believers, we do not need to change everything at once. We need to be wise, yes, and get help with that wisdom, but radically changing into who God wanted us to be, ignores the fact that we must first be scourged (Hebrews). Jesus said "have child-like faith", children do not try to do everything at once. Jesus also said "be more righteous than someone who concerns themselves with the Law", greater than the Law, is accepting that great faith starts with something small.
I am passionate about this, because no one showed me how to commit my faith, to work and I made some questionable choices then the Devil took advantage and said "you should be doing [all this] with your faith" and I did not know how to respond. I still have doubts, but one thing I am sure of, is that God does not require perfection right at the outset. People have the idea that they have to rush the faith, because it is all up to them; but the Holy Spirit is there, if it takes longer He is fine with that!
What you need to do is pray "Lord, I know that you require change, help me through the Holy Spirit to proceed peacefully and steadily through the challenges I will face, as I take on that change, that the fullness of the Glory of God might be to His praise, in Your Name Amen"
EDIT: In reflecting on this for a minute, I realised there may be a need for greater commitment, as in praying "Lord, whatever challenge you have wanted me to face, I realise it has started with something small, in Your Name Amen".
The power of knowing that you do not need to change everything, is realising that all your brothers and sisters - other Christians - are facing the same challenge!
