When will the 'Last Days' end and the Day of the Lord begin?
Here's neat and quick scripture extraction prediction
1. One day = 1000 years
2. Daniel 12:7 used a method of counting as in “time, times and half “= 1 + 2 + ½ = 3 ½ units of time.
3. If we use the same counting method for the ‘last days,’ then last days = 2 units of time = 2000 years.
4. So, in the times of Christ and Paul especially, (28 to 65) AD, when they spoke of the ‘last days,’ or the return of Christ,’ we then can say according to this theory, ‘Last Days’ end somewhere between 2028 and 2065 AD with the arrival of the Messiah to start the Lord’s day of 1000 years.
10 to 47 years from now!
And the ‘beat’ goes on…..may the Lord come soon!
Blessings to all,
APAK
The time span in Daniel 12:7 is speak of how long will it be from the time that Daniel was told of the wonders that will be happening in his future until they are all fulfilled. APAK in his above post attributed only 2 units of time for the last days in this passage however, if we consider the time periods we arrive at the following when set out in reverse order: -
½ a unit of time = ≈500 years from Daniel's time until the first advent of Christ
2 units of time = ≈2,000 years of time, the length of time of the visitation of the fathers iniquity on Israel after the start of the first advent
1 unit of time = ≈1,000 years of time, the length of the last age when the end of the ages will occur.
So from the time of Daniel until the end of all of the wonders that Daniel had been told about is ≈3,500 years.
With that being said, Daniel 7 : 26 - 27 will occur some ≈3,500 years after Daniel learned of the wonders that God would do in his future.
Now because I understand that a "thousand" is a corruption of "those hands" as a numerical value, the unit of time is a little greater than the mentioned 1,000 years in APAK's post above. It is my understanding that the time period of ≈3,500 years may be out by up to 100 years.
So the time left for us to await the return of the Lord to Judge the peoples of the earth is still some 1,000 to 1,100 years off yet. I would put it that it is probably closer to 1,050 years off, give or take 20 or so years because of the uncertainty as to how our present calendar relates to God's time frame of reference.
