The numbers are more than fishy, and the premier Dan Andrews is now being rude and dismissive to the one journalist who dares ask a hard question. And there's this....I suspect something may not be right with those numbers. Perhaps the "new deaths" refers to old cases where the cause of death wasn't known at first? I don't know, but I think there's more to that story.

The state originally recorded nine new cases of coronavirus overnight, but that dropped to eight after a positive case in Shepparton was reclassified as a false positive this afternoon.
No deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
Melbourne's 14-day rolling case average is now 11.6, down from 11.9 yesterday.
