No - don't blame the tens of thousands of counterfeit Protestant entities on God.
God doesn't create anything counterfeit. That was caused by MAN'S rebellion . . .

He only created ONE Church (Matt. 16:18-19, John 17:20-23).

Sure they do. the Roman Catholic Church calls itself the Roman Catholic Church. They should just call themselves the Roman Church or the Church at Rome. They are not Roman Catholic, and they are not Catholic.

The Catholic Church doesn't call itself the "Roman Catholic Church."
That's a lie that YOU made up - and one I've debunked several times now.

The official name of the Church is "The Catholic Church."

Well you see Mary, there was this man called Saul, after teh even even said he was a Pharisee of Pharisees, a very learned man, knew the scriptures like the back of His hand, didn know Jesus, so many christians just like him, know the bible backwards, dont know Jesus.
    As HE put it,
Joh_6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

But christians prefer mcdonalds christianity, get filled with non nutritional garbage.

Yet everything within it is labeled as 'Roman'.

From "The Documents of Vatican II" , Walter M. Abbott, S.J. General Editor, Very Rev. MSGR. Joseph Gallagher Translation editor.

Page 151---"Provide that the substantial unity of the Roman rite is maintained...."

Page 159---"...the instructions prefixed to the individual rites in the Roman Ritual,...."

Page 162---"The rite for the consecration of virgins which is currently found in the Roman Pontifical...."

Page 390---"...and infallibility defined by the Council of 1869-1870: "...the Roman Pontiff as successor...."

Page 390---"...a reoranized, internalized Roman Curia."

Page 453---"...should be led to a more adequate understanding of the Churches and ecclesial Communities separated from the Roman, Apostolic See.
You see. This is why you belong to the Romanist Church. Everything in it is about Rome. It is not Catholic. It is Roman. It wants to be Catholic or universal, but it is not. It is Roman to the core. Roman and Catholic, an oxymoron.

I guess if you refuse to read my posts, you can claim anything you want about me. I can't force you to engage in dialogue. You've proven your committed to winning rather than discussion across this entire board.

The nature of your statement above is as seductive as the Serpent in the Garden:

    1. It refuses to address the previous post it claims to be addressing

    2. It makes a claim about my understanding of dualism based on your willfill ignorance, due to your refusal to read posts that refute it.

    3. It is punishing; declaring victory (exposing me) in your one sided war. Not only is the victory hollow, the punishment is ineffective (even if I didn't know what dualism is, I would not feel exposed) and dishonest (based on the information I have posted about dualism)

    4. Finally, like all forms of abuse, it furthers your quest to blame the victim; which you do every time you make statements like "If you guys would just stop lying you wouldn't hear fro me again". It suggests that everyone who you have deemed a liar deserves your abuse.

These are all tactics of a person who would rather win than focus on similarities. Tactics that are often employed systematically by people with a dualistic mindset.

'All things Catholic'? Not sure how a person, like yourself, who is steeped in a tribal mindset and revels in declaring private wars all over this board, can make statements about a universal term like 'catholic'.

Another statement declaring your heretical, dualistic mindset. Of course! because unlike me, you belong to the RIGHT tribe....

Indeed. You rarely talk about Catholicism. Your posts are too infused with dualism to be based on actual Catholic doctrine.

Hmm....not that it matters at this point, but where else on this thread have you mention loving your 'separated Protestant bretheran'?

He detested no one; he did confront pompous cowards however; those who attack rather than educate and ridicule rather than witness John 8:7.

BoL, you've been afraid all your life.

So, Lucy, I suggest you take your football and find another group of Charlie Browns to seduce.

People can see you for who you are

    BOL to Aspen.

Well BOL, in less than a heart beat, I as a Protestant can discern which one of you knows the heart of the Father and reflects His love, and which one doesn't.

I have to agree with him, you DO seem to act and speak as if it is just 'you against the world.'
Is your Catholic church so weak that it really needs you to speak for it and defend it? I think not.
Truth never, ever needs defending...it speaks for itself!!

Pilate asked Jesus- " What is truth?" And Jesus,(Truth)- "opened not His mouth. "
Don't fight so heard, then maybe we could hear your spirit speak louder.
    Bless you....H

And my challenge still stands to all of the anti-Catholics here:
If everybody stops lying about what the Catholic Church believes and teaches - I won't bother you anymore.
It's that simple: Be HONEST for a change.

Is is really that difficult for you guys to stop lying??

And this is just another one of your filthy lies.

This spurious quote is often attributed to St. Augustine by anti-Catholics - but it is NOWHERE in ANY of his writings.
Why would you falsely quote one of the greatest minds the church has ever knows - and a humble servant of God??

You keep claiming to be Catholic - but your lies expose you as nothing more than just another garden variety anti-Catholic.
For your homework - I challenge you to give me that quote in its proper context within one of St. Augustine's writings.

THIS is what I'm talking about, people.
Knock off all of your lying and I will leave you alone . . .

“As to the Church, where else shall we go, except to the Bride of Christ, one flesh with Christ? Though she is a harlot at times, she is our Mother. We should read the book of Hosea, which is a picture of God’s steadfast love not only for the Jews, His chosen people, but for His Church, of which we are every one of us members or potential members. Since there is no time with God, we are all one, all one body, Chinese, Russians, Vietnamese, and He has commanded us to love another” - Dorothy Day

And EVERY one of these notations alludes to the Roman RITE - which is one of over TWENTY RITES.
The "Roman" Pontiff is not a Melkite Pontiff or a Byzantine Pontiff or a Maronite Pontiff or a Coptic Pontiff. He is part of the ROMAN RITE.

I don't know why you keep arguing this point because you've been defeated every time.
EPIC FAIL, Stranger - and pretty embarrassing . . .

Soooo, you got caught in a LIE when you said that this quote came from St. Augustine - and now you're attributing it to somebody else??

Why is it so difficult for you guys to just STOP lying?? What is this fascination with being dishonest??
    Do you enjoy being exposed??

"I've dug a really deep hole for myself with this whole 'dualism' thing - and I don't even know what it means!"

Come back when you wanna have a grown-up conversation where you actually back up what you say.
And leave the lies at the door, pleas . . .

Here's more seduction. I say goodbye, but I get hooked by accusations and the football is presented again, with the promise that it will not be pulled away.

'If only you would be honest, I wouldn't have to abuse you' - Lucy

Of course, this is simply another opportunity for Lucy to get attention and sucker punch.

It doesn't matter that Tony Campollo, a Protestant evangelist, incorrectly (I was introduced to Christ at one of his talks, actually) attributed a quote from Dorothy Day (a prominent Catholic who loved the church and believed it to be a harlot, at times) to Augustine. It couldn't be a mistake on Campollos part or on mine - it must be a lie to tear down the Roman Catholic Church!!

Now, interesting enough, if Dualists like BoL still considered me to be apart of his Tribe - the RIGHT side - THE TRUE CHURCH; nothing I said would matter because I would be seen as one of the good guys. It is the same reason Trump can commit any crime or atrocity and still be accepted as a savior by his Tribe.

This is dualism in all its naked glory. It was once a prominent part of Zoroasterism in Persia and has been dogging Christianity ever since. I believe it is a consequence of the Fall and needs to continue to be rooted out of Christianity.

If you feel "abused" because you're being rebuked and corrected for lying so many times - here's a quick fix:
    Just STOP lying.

    Not that difficult, friend . . .

PS - When you're ready to give us your definition of "Dualism" and are ready to have a grown-up conversation - you know where to find me.

Are you excluding Roman Catholicism from the universal church or are you just making the larger point that Roman Catholicism is simply one member of the Catholic Church?

    Are Melkite Catholics "Roman"?
    Are Byzantine Catholics "Roman"?
    Are Coptic Catholics "Roman"?
    Are Syro-Malabar Catholics "Roman"?
    Are Maronte Catholics "Roman"?
    Are Ruthenian Catholics "Roman"?
