If real Christians are scarce as hens teeth on the ground in some places, how does anyone judge Christianity? A Muslim for example. Never met a Christian in his life. Let alone a good one. What would be his perspective on our faith? First, he would understand from polls that 70% or so Americans claim they are heaven bound. On their coins, reads "in God we trust". They believe America, rightly or wrongly, is a "Christian" country. But what do they really see when they look ate America? Or any other western nation for that matter, claiming to have a "Judeo-Cristian" ethic...whatever that may entail. They also hear that the government in America is in power solely because God "put it there". He therefore believes that Christianity and America, are basically one and the same.
However. When American visitors demand access to alcohol in Muslim countries...when they bare themselves on their beaches and resorts...when they hear their "Christian rock music" and note little difference between it and nightclubs and rock concerts...when they view by some chance a Hollywood depiction of life in America and witness constant crime, sex, violence and marital failures...when they view a Christian church service and see the fashions being displayed there no different than what is in the streets...
What is there in western Christianity that would possibly convince anyone untouched by an individual faith, to inquire further?
