I really do get tired of repeatedly asking...… But, because Jesus will return, what is it that is required of Christians that they are not already doing? (But, I still ask because no one has ever told me.)

I agree.....so vague......how and to what extent do we prepare.....but I really think that God is the one who is doing the separation of the wheat and the tares....so what is really the bottom line through all this is to know His Word and to be obedient to do all that it commands.....and Jesus gave us that commandment that fulfills all the laws.....Love God...and Love thy Neighbor as thyself....for in obeying these 2 commandments we have fulfilled all the law. Love....that is the bottom line....be humble and walk in love.

Jesus is returning for those believers that are expecting and looking for Him!! Are you??
Hebrews 9:27-28=Hebrews 9:27-28 27Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation """to those who are waiting for him."""

Okay well, of course we are looking and waiting for Him...why wouldn't we be if we are followers of His commandments.

The word rapture and the Bible teaching of the very near return of Jesus is not heard in many "churches" today and the people are asleep.

I have no interest in arguing here!!
2 Timothy 2:23-26

23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

Well, as far as I can tell, nothing is really required on the part of the Christian. If you are a Christian, then that makes you a child of 'light' as Paul stated in many ways. You are not in darkness, so therefore the day of the lord, which will come like a thief in the night will not overtake you as a thief, because you will be ready.

(1 Thessalonians 5:1-8) "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. {2} For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. {3} For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. {4} But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. {5} Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. {6} Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. {7} For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. {8} But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation."

It always makes me wonder what the deal is with all these people crying wolf about this day as if someones getting "left behind" or something if they don't "prepare". Really, I don't even believe the Day of the Lord will play out like many assume it will anyway. According to John, the rapture event itself doesn't even occur on that same day. The Day of the Lord as far as I see in Revelation is all about God announcing to the world that his patience has run thin, and it is long overdue for a smack down, that smack down being the seven trumpets and seven vials. At some point between these two, after the last trumpet, the rapture occurs, and it appears that it occurs after the two witnesses are raised from the dead as I explain here.

MATTHEW 25
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
