About 20 years ago, Professor Dr. Walter J. Veith gave a series of lectures on how Jesus Christ has been the target of a massive total onslaught by the devil in every area of the world - by anti-Christian political control/agendas through Luciferian secret societies, fake news, fake U's, fake amuse, etc., and during that series he declared Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth, and the life.

A man stood up and said, "But that's arrogance. Do you mean to tell me that out of all the religions of the world, you're going to stand there and say that Jesus is the only way? That's arrogance."

Dr. Veith replied, "Yes, that does sound arrogant. But, if I were sitting here with my daughter and you said, 'Hey, Jack, are you the father of that child?' and I said, 'Yep, I'm the father of that child', and you said, 'You mean to tell me that out of all the billions of people in the world, you are the father? That's arrogance'...Well, it might sound like arrogance...but it also might just be a fact."

And then he quipped, "However, my sister always says that fatherhood is just an opinion and motherhood is a fact."

In a world of religious deception, especially the sown seeds of deception that have sprung up a harvest of false ideas within Christianity, it is possible to discover the truth about what it means to be a true convert to Christ, the proper relationship between law and grace, a correct understanding of end times prophecy, and a host of other topics, the truth to which the enemy would blind us all if not for God's intrepid Word.

(Imo) Jesus as the only way puts an end to arrogance. In submission, our confidence is to be in Him and not in our self. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Actually we don't declare that Christianity is the only true religion, it is Jesus who said He was the Truth, the ltd and the way.

good points. and YES, it's possible to discover the TRUTH. scripture, John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me".

2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth".

"SEARCH" and "STUDY". lookup words find out what they mean. and above all pray to the Lord JESUS/God for Gudiance. and the last scriptures, James 1:4 "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:6 "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
James 1:7 "For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
James 1:8 "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

If you study many different positions, you can usually arrive at the truth about something. But the first thing any denomination will do is make sure you see things their way. And then forbid you to see anything your way. Or anyone else's way. It's good to learn from all but not become lobotomized by any single persuasion.

to a point I can agree, one need to study others beliefs. which I did, and found all of them short on scriptual support. so I decided to study the word of God, for myself, not what someone else said about the word of God, but I asked, and I question God on his Word. and got a shock of my life. .... I was wrong say what!, yes I was in ERROR in my belifs that was taught to me. so I laid down ... notice how I said that, not throw out or put away, but laid down my belifs that I was taught. and I studied all the other doctrine out there that was the main or most popular doctrine.

and each one was eliminated one by one. I was left with nothing, because God himself destroyed what I was taught to believe, so I was left with nothing, notta, zilch. for the first time in my life I was without a security blanket. and on top of that, God, the Lord Jesus took the baby bottle out of my mouth too. I was stripped down to nothing, and he took the daper too. but that was the best thing that could ever happen to me. I HAD TO START OVER FROM SCRATCH.

there is one, and only one TRUTH, and many don't find it. Matthew 7:14 "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

this is true, just because the majority believe one way, don't make it the Right way.

so to me there is NO fine line between Confidence or Arrogance, either or, you're one of them.
now many think... think I'm Arrogant because I stand firm in what I believe. that's their call not mine.

That's why I like my church. We not only present the truth, but expose why the others are misguided in their thinking, because so many are out there twisting Scripture to suit their own doctrines.

For instance, Roman catholicism loves to point to "thou art Peter and upon this rock I build My church" as "proof" of a traceable lineage of popes to apostolic times.

However, we know what Jesus was saying was, "thou art "Petros" (small, unstable, rolling pebble), but upon this "Petra" (giant stone of immense proportion which is Peter's confession that Christ is the Son of the Living God) I will build My church."

This is a great topic. The example in the OP is not arrogance. Stating your opinion on truth can be arrogant, aggressive, or weak, but none of our opinions on truth has any affect on the truth itself. I can tell you that “Jesus is Lord” in the most arrogant, hateful way possible, but it takes nothing away from Jesus’s sovereignty. However, it has tremendous implications on the speaker’s sanctification....it is unfortumate that we seem to gravitate toward pastors who are zealous and singleminded and basically jerks because their presentation is strangely comforting.....”that pastor would fight to the death for the truth! It must be true!” Yet, in the back of our minds we know the guy is just a pompous ass. I think there is an epidemic of arrogance in the pulpit. It is sad because zealotry reflects the condition of the heart, not the measure of truth described in the opinion offerred

Oh you mean the SDA truth , like the catholics the mormans, JW's Presbyterians, Greek and Russian orthodox, ets etc , ye we get it, you love your religion and wont leave it even for Christ..

My impression is that "Christian Forums" are made up mainly of the denominationally indoctrinated who argue among themselves. Who have never studied beyond their own constraints. Rarely do you find anyone who studied objectively for years before picking a church and landing on a position.

I guess I have heard the argument before, but never Lexed it or something,

What you mean is your religions interpretation of the bible truth, that makes BOL as right as you are. And it is one thing in common with all the religious, they will never give up there religion to follow after Christ.

Joh_12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

dont need religion to follow Christ, just plain and simple faith....
