You say "now" as if you too lived 2,000 years ago. Why have you not pressed on and matured? Why are you not of a mind to do so after all this time?

Good, so you're here acknowledging what I have been saying (eternity is the age to come); you seemed to be refuting it before. Which is at least a little odd, but okay. <smile>

Ahhhh, not sure what you're saying here. Are you talking about what Paul said about him pressing on ~ and thereby exhorting us to do so also ~ in Philippians 3:12-14? If so, yeah, I disagree. Calling eternity the age to come and pressing on are not mutually exclusive; things are what they are now, and will be what they will be. And for us, in the here and now, in the words of the writer of Hebrews:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:1-2).

So like those born again of the spirit of God are blessed to be a part of the first resurrection, we can also be blessed with the renewing of our minds...or not.

Not "or not," I would say, but maybe to a greater or lesser degree. As Christians ~ if we are indeed Christians ~ we do have the Spirit, and He is not... stagnant... <smile>

You could say that, but what do the scriptures say? Do they say, "I knew 'every' man in Christ, or 'a' man in Christ caught up to the third heaven?"

Ah, so you think you are like the man Paul was talking about who was caught up to the third heaven... Or maybe you think you are that man... Hmmm...

<eyeroll> I said, "Well now that's a mouthful..." this first instance of 'now' in my quote was obviously not relating to time ~ which you know... or maybe you don't... In the second instance of my use of 'now,' I was quoting Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:12, speaking of himself ~ which you also know ~ saying, "Now I know in part..." and we can say the same of ourselves (even you). You really should quit with these "gotcha moment" grabs. You're reeeeeeeeeally bad at it. Yeah, very poorly played. LOL!
