The only time I see Jesus Baptizing is in John 4:1-2 Where it says that Jesus Baptized his disciples. It does not say with the Holy Spirit. I thought his disciples were baptized by John. They were baptized by the Holy Spirit on the day of pentecost. This is going to get very interesting!
Jesus did not baptize his Disciples Read it Again. Jesus was Baptizing people, ALTHOUGH HIS DISCIPLE DID THE BAPTIZING. Jesus did not baptize with Water, but with Fire and Power from his Holy Ghost.

I believe in water baptism to symbolically show our death and resurrection in Christ. But then again, who is there to baptize me? I prayed to the Lord and baptized myself so-to-speak in my own pool "until someone comes along that could carry out that responsibility" as I said to the Lord.There is so much false doctrine out there, and ministers that cater to the worldly church, why should I trust in their authority to baptize me? I'm starting to go toward a "home church" doctrine, so what the established mainliners do make no difference to me.I haven't found anyone yet to carry out that responsibility in earnest yet.For starters, if anyone does not believe about Israel as Kriss and I teach (and in fairness, some others on this forum), then they are too dense of the scriptures to be in any authority to baptize IMO. They don't know enough to baptize me. I am over them in other words.I don't like to be in this position, but in reality, probably I am given (by the Lord) as much knowledge and faith as anyone in this 300,000+ population in this vicinity.So, my self-baptism will have to do until I see a real minister of the gospel (which are few) come along and show me authority.

I never said water washed away sins just the oppisite I said it was symbolic of Christ the living waters who he alone forgives sin

Set free I think what Kriss is saying here is that you dont always need water for baptism. Thus , the thief on the cross and the dove desending on Jesus . the dove was the holy spirit. God knows how we think, the water is a symbol. what do you do in water? You get clean. Right? If your hot you take a swim. Its refreshing and renewing. I believe that is why God choose water to represent repentance. It is also a nescesity for life- thus the living waters that flow freely from Christ. While baptism means fully emersed (baptismo) It is reguarding forgiveness of your sins. So when you repent. you fully turn from your sins. not half way , not except for , but fully turn away and then you recieve the holy spirit. Its easier for us to use the water because then we better understand. I beleive that is why Christ said baptismo. Do you kind of understand?

I think I misunderstood these scriptures. It says that Jesus did not baptize anyone, only his disciples baptized others. Is this correct?

I dont even think this is a proper worded question that if you understand baptism you would understand he didnt have to that anyone that believed he was the son of God and repented would have been baptised I suppose you could say John the Baptist could have been first I dont even get where you are relating this to Acts or Pencost day except that on that day many came to believe. There were many before and after

It's sad there there are not many around, although there are many puffed-up people who think they are.To show that I do not have a problem with authority, I turned my class over to a woman who I felt could teach better than me. I have no attitude or problem about that (how many others can claim they would do the same?) Ironically, she asks for my confirmation regarding scripture as she teaches. That's true brother-sister humility and dependence. But most of what I see as "Christianity" out there is false, and I will not for one minute stand for that nonsense and have "them" baptize me when they in all likelihood do not understand what they are talking about.

I do not understand exactly where you are going with your post here. I simply restated Shan Missions question. He said that in Matt.3:11; John 1:33 John said (Not me) Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit. This seems to be a future event. When did he baptize with the Holy Spirit? I think this is a proper worded question. If when the Holy Spirit came down the day of Pentecost is not the baptism, then when was it?

There is no qualifications for one to be able to baptise someone other than being a true believer you do not have to have any credituals or schooling Baptism comes from God not men

I agree that when a person believes the Holy Spirit indwell you. This is being born again. The original question was still WHEN? As referring to the scripture Matt.3:11. It says shall baptize you(seems future to me). The baptism of Jesus with the Holy Spirit comes after this statement.
