Yet there seems to be a contradiction there also. Don't viruses and bacteria thrive in humid conditions? Which is why they swab the nasal cavity to find it?
Are Eskimos more susceptible then? Every heard of influenza viruses wipng out Inuit villages?
Why Don’t Scientists Know More About Spanish Influenza, Even After Digging Up Its Victims?

Ninety-five years ago in the little town of Brevig Mission, Alaska, a deadly new virus called Spanish influenza struck quickly and brutally. It killed 90 percent of the town’s Inuit population, leaving scores of corpses that few survivors were willing to touch. The Alaskan territorial government hired gold miners from Nome to travel to flu-ravaged towns and bury the dead. The miners arrived in Brevig Mission shortly after the medical calamity, tossed the victims into a pit two meters deep, and covered them with permafrost.

The flu victims remained untouched until 1951, when a team of scientists dug up the bodies, cracked open four cadavers’ rib cages, scooped out chunks of their lungs, and studied the tissue in a lab. But they were unable to recover the virus and threw out the specimens. Nearly 50 years later, scientists dug up another victim from the same site, this time a better preserved, mostly frozen, obese woman, and successfully extracted viral RNA. In 2005, a team of scientists finally completed the project, sequencing the full genome of the viral RNA. But they still don’t know exactly why it caused the Spanish flu pandemic.

I know I might cop a bit of backlash here for posting this, you may be a Trump fan or you may not be, but just making sure you know, it's definitely not recommended for anyone to follow Trump's suggestion on injecting disinfectant.

Here's an article on it.

'It's irresponsible and it's dangerous': Experts rip Trump's idea of injecting disinfectant to treat COVID-19
fwiw i wouldn't be slathering my hands in it all the time either, wouldnt use it at all tbh. We have a skin biome, and that stuff is like antibiotics is to the gut, a nuclear bomb basically

I'm for vaccination, but I'm also for being able to study for my children what they can and cannot take. Thus far, my daughter has had all of hers.
That's good.

Id never approve of a vaccination including computer technology inside of it. If it had Lysol, Id have to hear what professionals said.
I'm pretty sure you'll not have to worry about that.

Im even wondering if this is what they mean by experimentations with light and why he said it was sarcasm. But a hypothetical question is a form of sarcasm as well.
In the normal world, where people don't feel obligated to defend everything Trump says and does as if he were infallible (TDS, or Trump Deification Syndrome), it's extremely obvious what happened. He was trying to sound smart and informed but ended up saying something rather stupid and potentially dangerous. When those outside the right-wing bubble immediately recognized it for what it was, Trump tried to excuse it away by saying he was just being sarcastic, which made no sense and was clearly just a knee-jerk fake excuse. Now they're saying he was just "thinking out loud", which contradicts yesterday's excuse.

It's basically a President and his team scrambling to not admit the obvious....he said something stupid and potentially dangerous.

And why are all the briefings televised anyway? Do they have to be? If media doesnt like what he says, why do they bother?
He's the President of the United States.

Sadly, that is just who he is. And I guess he will always fall victim to his ego's need to create an argument he can win. I honestly am beginning to realize the ruckuses he stirs up with the Media (and always has, for decades) are probably no accidental choice of words or "slip of the tongue". He starts them. He enjoys them. And, he always ends up winning.
I think he is deliberately taking advantage of something the Left originally created, "The Culture of Victimhood". And he hooks them right into going for it like a masterful fisherman.
So he's trolling....during a national briefing on a pandemic that's killed over 50,000 Americans and counting. Is that really what you want in a President? Someone who jokes around and trolls during a national emergency?

Maybe hire a press secretary who actually does press conferences. The previous one did zero press conferences. Someone joked that she had more drunk driving convictions on her record than press conferences.
Or since this is a medical emergency, let the medical experts talk and answer questions. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, so let those who do speak. Unfortunately his ego would never allow that.

That just proves there are at least 100 very stupid people in Maryland.
There are "very stupid people" in every state. That's why a President has to be cautious about what he says, and most certainly shouldn't be trolling the public (or engaging in sarcasm, or whatever their excuse is today) during national emergencies.

Coincidence?

Revealed: leader of group peddling bleach as coronavirus 'cure' wrote to Trump this week

"The leader of the most prominent group in the US peddling potentially lethal industrial bleach as a “miracle cure” for coronavirus wrote to Donald Trump at the White House this week.

In his letter, Mark Grenon told Trump that chlorine dioxide – a powerful bleach used in industrial processes such as textile manufacturing that can have fatal side-effects when drunk – is “a wonderful detox that can kill 99% of the pathogens in the body”. He added that it “can rid the body of Covid-19”.

A few days after Grenon dispatched his letter, Trump went on national TV at his daily coronavirus briefing at the White House on Thursday and promoted the idea that disinfectant could be used as a treatment for the virus."

Some of you are obviously unaware that as long ago as when I was in the Army, in the 60's, we added a few drops of bleach to our water out in the field. And every one of us drank gallons and gallons of that water for several years. So, bleach has been approved and accepted for purifying water for at least 50 or 60 years.

Isn't it amazing how much many of us don't know anything about?

If you have to have that simple remark explained to you, then you are probably beyond my help.
I'm just not sure what your point was. Had anyone been disputing that chlorine bleach can be used to disinfect drinking water? Was anyone saying it had no uses at all? I sure didn't see any of that.

And all Trump asked the doctors sitting there (I know, because I actually watched it in real time) was if there was not something similar to that which could be done.

So you were engaging in apologetics for Trump.

You do realize you're contradicting his claim that he was being sarcastic, right? And earlier you said he was basically trolling the media and the left. I guess you've dropped both of those and are now saying it was a serious question?

You never even watched a minute of the actual briefing, did you? It seems that unlike you are doing, I am just speaking the truth as it was clearly shown on TV.

I did watch it, several times.

Trump said he was being sarcastic. Do you believe him?

I believe I asked you if you watched the ACTUAL briefing, at the time it was conducted,.... not some later edited version.
I watched the full, unedited briefing.

Trump said he was being sarcastic. Do you believe him?
