This is Keith. He was a good guy but only had an IQ of 70 and was deceived into worshipping his case manager's Buddha statue.

Darn shame but those are the breaks, right? Jesus is most certainly going to torture this guy forever while simultaneously singing Kumbaya with us in New Jerusalem, right?

A full-scale IQ score of around 70 to 75 indicates a significant limitation in intellectual functioning. However, the IQ score must be interpreted in the context of the person's difficulties in general mental abilities.

Moreover, scores on subtests can vary considerably so that the full-scale IQ score may not accurately reflect overall intellectual functioning. Therefore, clinical judgment is needed in interpreting the results of IQ tests.

Three areas of adaptive functioning are considered:3

  1. Conceptual – language, reading, writing, math, reasoning, knowledge, memory.
  2. Social – empathy, social judgment, communication skills, the ability to follow rules and the ability to make and keep friendships.
  3. Practical – independence in areas such as personal care, job responsibilities, managing money, recreation, and organizing school and work tasks.
Adaptive functioning is assessed through standardized measures with the individual and interviews with others, such as family members, teachers and caregivers.

Intellectual disability is identified as mild (most people with intellectual disability are in this category), moderate or severe. The symptoms of intellectual disability begin during childhood. Delays in language or motor skills may be seen by age two. However, mild levels of intellectual disability may not be identified until school age when a child has difficulty with academics. What is Intellectual Disability?.

hope this helps !!!

"Much is given, much is required". So then when little is given what would be God's take on it?

Lu 12:48But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
What are each of doing with what we have been given?

Well, poor Keith got dealt a bad hand, was easily deceived and now he'll spend eternity being tortured by Jesus himself, according to mainstream Christianity, right?

I do not belong to mainstream Christianity. The final judgment of others does not belong to me nor, I believe, does it belong to what is known to many people as mainstream Christianity.

The prevailing view among Christians is that people who don't accept Christ while still alive are condemned to eternal punishment. Of course, it's unbiblical, illogical, and ridiculous.

Each person, of course, can believe as he will, but God is looking always at the heart of each of us.

Pr 21:2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Sure.

The whole point of this thread is to demonstrate the absurdity that, people who are deceived and misled away from Christ, are tortured for eternity. That's a bizarre and ungodly belief.

The topic question is really good. Thanks.

When challenged this way, those who hold to the hell doctrine will typically begin
to make exceptions to their qualifications for salvation. (avoiding hell)

When that begins, the whole thing comes unraveled.
It yields more questions than answers.

God will judge rightly. Only two places outside the kingdom or inside the kingdom.
For the mentally ill, I imagine there’s some handicaps.

Like a little child...
Probably. Caretakers taking care of them share things of God with them, or not. Im sure they learn, small bits of information and understand when a person is being loving towards them.

What do you think?
