Do we want 'a few good products, and the rest junk' or do we want 'quality products, that serve the Lord century after century' ? (pray?)

Hi there,

So I work as a cleaner at the moment, and I have been really grieving over how much we - as a society - throw away. Junk is always there, it seems. But TV shows like American Pickers reveal that in the past, things were built to last!

I don't want to be unfaithful in what is another man's (gospels), but throwing away everything but the concept the product was supposed to be for, feels wrong!

Then I had this thought: "maybe I can pray that we waste less stuff!"

Hey look! Jesus said 'whatever you pray will be done, in Me' - let's pray!

Man is as the grass of the field , the grass withers and the flower fades away , but the WORD of the LORD endures forever .
The Word is what we should be focused upon and a preaching .
As far as to more centuries , well lets just say by the signs of the times
Even a mere decade left is a huge huge stretch to even think .
What did the mouse run up , The clock .
Well that ol clock is about to chime NO more time . For on a day and in an hour
known to no man , that DOOR gonna shut and all outside will surely wail .
Now on those feet and to the trenches for the hour is very late .

My parents tv from when they were first married still worked last year, but we had to get a new flat because it stopped working. My parents bought new washer and dryer after having one when they were married that lasted so long only for the new ones to last 2 years. Same with fridge. If you open a hair straightener you can notice that it is built to quit after some time. People don't make things like they use to. I take care of my stuff no matter what it is. Purses, shoes ect. I know people whose car is full if trash. My sister's kids drew on the inside of their van with permanent marker and won't come off all the way. Just like a woman got an expensive name brand purse only to not take care of it. Like teenage girls who don't do their laundry only to go back to the mall to buy new clothes and not wash them people litter a lit. Even earth protesters leave their signs and trash behind. We are supposed to be good stewards and try our best to take care of what we have. Some people don't have a lot. One person's trash is another person's treasure sometimes. Someone a praying for something we have and take forgrante. There is trash deep in the ocean. We need to do better.
