some preach this or that
but as for me , ITS JESUS and His every saying as well as all sound biblical doctrine .
I say we return to learning those lovely bibles well and thus learning Christ . Cause any other voice contrary to that
no matter if it claims to be of JESUS is just another jesus . We better learn the real one . For many , i say , many
will wail on the day of the Lord . Let us have the joy of the Lord and teach all things He did say . And learn Him well .
having all hope above on Him . But beware of men , for as JESUS said ,TAKE HEED unto yourselves
for many decievers shall abound , saying I am Christ , or i sit in the seat of Christ and shall decieve many . Just ponder that .

Jesus Christ once warned his own , and These words apply to us as well .
He said beware of men who make large borders on their clothes , dressed up fancy dressing etc
and love to be called rabbi or teacher .
WE SHOULD HAVE HEEDED THIS . Cause Rome has always been big on decking up its clothes for all to see
wearing fancy hats and large borders on their dress . Show me bishops in the RCC and POPES that have not
worn large hats , decked out fancy garments . THAT ALONE should have told us something .
Rest assure , PETER never wore no big RING and had folks kissing it . And this is not even close to the worst of what has been going on .
WE better heed JESUS . These men do to be seen of men . Just like the pharisees in JESUS day did .

They often persecuted the saints who came to correct them .
And have said alas let us make our own religion and the keys of the inheritance shall be ours .
Rome , Rome how often i would have gathered your children as a mother hen her young
only YE would not . Behold on the day of Christ nothing that opposed Him will stand . The house shall be desolate .

Please let us look at John 10....this is the ESV translation
grace comes only thru christ ......and his church (his sacrament life) Jn 10:10

This teaching that Jesus gave isn't about grace....its about knowing Him as your shepard and not following false prophets, teachers and pastors....there is only one door with which the Shepard stands and the sheep follows His voice only....this chapter is about the Shepard and the Sheep.....or about Jesus and those who believe and follow Him....not hearing any voice other than his...

Now you quoted John 10 previously, and have switched ot John 1....okay let's look at it..

As to the order of time and entrance on his work, Christ came after John, but in every other way he was before him. The expression clearly shows that Jesus had existence before he appeared on earth as man. All fulness dwells in him, from which alone fallen sinners have, and shall receive, by faith, all that renders them wise, strong, holy, useful, and happy. Our receivings by Christ are all summed up in this one word, grace; we have received "even grace," a gift so great, so rich, so invaluable; the good will of God towards us, and the good work of God in us. The law of God is holy, just, and good; and we should make the proper use of it. But we cannot derive from it pardon, righteousness, or strength. It teaches us to adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour, but it cannot supply the place of that doctrine. Commentary on John 1:29-36

John saw Jesus coming to him, and pointed him out as the Lamb of God. The paschal lamb, in the shedding and sprinkling of its blood, the roasting and eating of its flesh, and all the other circumstances of the ordinance, represented the salvation of sinners by faith in Christ. And the lambs sacrificed every morning and evening, can only refer to Christ slain as a sacrifice to redeem us to God by his blood. John came as a preacher of repentance, yet he told his followers that they were to look for the pardon of their sins to Jesus only, and to his death. It agrees with God's glory to pardon all who depend on the atoning sacrifice of Christ. He takes away the sin of the world; purchases pardon for all that repent and believe the gospel. This encourages our faith; if Christ takes away the sin of the world, then why not my sin? He bore sin for us, and so bears it from us. God could have taken away sin, by taking away the sinner, as he took away the sin of the old world; but here is a way of doing away sin, yet sparing the sinner, by making his Son sin, that is, a sin-offering, for us. See Jesus taking away sin, and let that cause hatred of sin, and resolutions against it. Let us not hold that fast, which the Lamb of God came to take away. To confirm his testimony concerning Christ, John declares the appearance at his baptism, in which God himself bore witness to him. He saw and bare record that he is the Son of God. This is the end and object of John's testimony, that Jesus was the promised Messiah. John took every opportunity that offered to lead people to Christ.


What we read here is John the Baptist sharing with those asking questions (the Pharisees) and giving testimony of what was prophesied concerning Jesus the Messiah....furthermore, it fulfills what the angel said to John the Baptist about who he saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove this is Jesus....

I dont see anything about the Catholic church here....which is what we were discussing...

Now you want to discuss covenants...
God did not make s Covenant of marriage with Adam....He simply formed Eve from the rib of Adam and the 2 were one...God determined it wasn't good for man to be alone. He created Eve to be a helpmate to Adam....it is not really understood whether there was a wedding ceremony or not...God's Covenants have to do with His promises.....when He makes a promise to do something He establishes a Covenant...a contract....which cannot be broken. Now the institute of marriage has modeled itself after the Adam and Eve relationship of husband and wife...and it is called a covenant...a contract to be as one in matrimony.

The Concept of Covenant
A covenant in the ancient world was similar to what we in the modern world would call a contract, treaty, or a will. Each covenant established the basis of a relationship, conditions for that relationship, promises and conditions of the relationship and consequences if those conditions were unmet. One of the most familiar examples of a covenant for us is marriage.

Why do I think understanding covenant is so important? It is because the covenants provide the skeletal framework for how the whole biblical story holds together. As the story of the Bible unfolds, we see God is a covenant making, covenant keeping, and covenant fulfilling God. God establishes covenants with certain people and these covenants are the way God unfolds his redemptive plan. The covenants are the structure of the story.

The Biblical Covenants
There are several covenants in the Bible, but five covenants are crucial for understanding the story of the Bible and God’s redemptive plan: the Noahic Covenant, the Abrahamic Covenant, The Mosaic Covenant, the Davidic Covenant and the New Covenant.

The Noahic Covenant
From Genesis 9, this is a covenant God establishes with Noah after the flood in which he resets and renews the blessings of creation, reaffirming God’s image in humanity and the work of dominion. This covenant promises the preservation of humanity and provides for the restraint of human evil and violence.

The Abrahamic Covenant
See Genesis 12 and 15. This is the most central to the biblical story. In it, God promises Abraham a land, descendants and blessing. This blessing promised to Abraham would extend through him to all the peoples of the earth. Understanding the Abrahamic Covenant is paramount to understanding theological concepts like a Promised Land, election, the people of God, inheritance and so on. It provides context for understanding practices like circumcision, conflicts with surrounding nations and divisions between Jews and Gentiles.

The Mosaic Covenant
See Exodus 19 and 24. This is the covenant God establishes with the people of Israel at Mt. Sinai after he led them out of Egyptian slavery. With it, God supplies the Law that is meant to govern and shape the people of Israel in the Promised Land. This Law was not a means of salvation but would distinguish the people from the surrounding nations as a special kingdom of priests (Exodus 19:1-7). This covenant was conditional and defined blessings and curses based on obedience or disobedience (see Deuteronomy 28-29). Understanding the Mosaic Covenant is foundational to understanding the cycles of blessing and curse in the Old Testament, the exiles of Israel and Judah, the disputes between Jesus and the Pharisees and Paul’s pastoral teachings about law and grace.

The Davidic Covenant
See 2 Samuel 7. This is the covenant where God promises a descendant of David to reign on the throne over the people of God. It is a continuation of the earlier covenants in that it promises a Davidic king as the figure through whom God would secure the promises of land, descendants, and blessing. This covenant becomes the basis for hope of a Messiah and makes sense of the Gospels’ concern to show Jesus was the rightful King of the Jews.

The New Covenant
See Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Luke 22:14-23. This is language first used in Jeremiah’s promise of rescue and renewal of the exiled people of God in Babylon. It promises a coming day when God would make a new covenant unlike the one which Israel had broken. This coming day would bring forgiveness of sin, internal renewal of the heart, and intimate knowledge of God. On the night of Jesus’s Last Supper, Jesus takes the cup and declares that his death would be the inauguration of this new covenant.

These five covenants provide the skeletal framework and context for practically every page of the Bible. They are fundamental to understanding the Bible rightly. The Old Testament covenants establish promises that look forward to fulfillment. Much of the New Testament is concerned to show how Jesus Christ fulfills these covenant promises and what life should look like for a people living in the New Covenant inaugurated by his death and resurrection.

The word baptize; to dip or wash has nothing to with literal water as something that could efect salavtion .It speaks of the water of the word symbolizing the unseen work of the Holy Spirit. Water can get a person wet it is not evidence of the Holy Spirit used to self-edify oneself but rather a desire to become a member of the priesthood of believers..as shadow of the eternal

Water like blood two metaphors that are used in various parables. They are used to represent the unseen work of God. In that way when we find the words “drink the blood” we drink into one Spirit we understand it by faith not literal water seen .

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

A man must be born of the Holy Spirit signified by H20. Or Spirit and water (as water)

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The idea of making Peter who was used as the example of a serial denier the key that the gates of hell could never prevail against( Blasphemy. . attributing the unseen work of God to mankind seen .) If we would attribute the power of our unseen Holy Father to our brother in the Lord Peter then the gates have become loosed.

Turning inspiration upside down earthly inspired of the devil as James informs us . Peter in false pride fell .

The Old Testament covenants establish promises that look forward to fulfillment. Much of the New Testament is concerned to show how Jesus Christ fulfills these covenant promises and what life should look like for a people living in the New Covenant inaugurated by his death and resurrection.

The word baptize; to dip or wash has nothing to with literal water as something that could efect salavtion .It speaks of the water of the word symbolizing the unseen work of the Holy Spirit. Water can get a person wet it is not evidence of the Holy Spirit used to self-edify oneself but rather a desire to become a member of the priesthood of believers..as shadow of the eternal

Water like blood two metaphors that are used in various parables. They are used to represent the unseen work of God. In that way when we find the words “drink the blood” we drink into one Spirit we understand it by faith not literal water seen .

A man must be born of the Holy Spirit signified by H20. Or Spirit and water (as water)

Yes universally a Catholic is a Catholic, and Greek Orthodox is called Greek Orthodox. A Lutheran a Lutheran. etc.

So God withholds His grace to Protestants?
How does He do that, when His name is The Lord, the Lord God, gracious, merciful, long-suffering, and full of goodness and truth?

So you are suggesting that God is not gracious to anyone else except Catholics,,???
