It's almost here...

What are your favorite Christmas movies that you watch that put you in the Christmas mood?

It's a Wonderful Life
Peanuts
Elf

Inquiring minds want to know...

Charlie Brown Christmas, Olive the Other Reindeer, and especially the Disney version of A Christmas Carol.

I love the Jacob Marley in that one : )

I like several versions of A Christmas Carol actually. Each one does certain scenes better than the others.

But the Disney one is still my favorite.

My absolute utterly favorite Christmas movie is:
It's a Wonderful life

then in no particular order:

Going my way,
It came upon a midnight clear with Mickey Rooney,
Christmas with the Cranks,
Die Hard,
An American Christmas Carol with the Fonz,
Scrooge with Muppets,
Grinch with Jim Carey,
Scrooge with Jim Carey,
I am sure there are more. :)

Bonus:
I absolutely utterly can not stand A Christmas Story, for some reason I loathe that movie (Maybe because they tried to make it replace It's a Wonderful Life) :)

I remember the cartoon version from my youth...it scared me to death as a small child...then grew up scoffing at the various versions. Kinda avoided watching all of them.
But then I seen Scrooged...and loved it.
Slightly different I know...

I particularly liked the new one with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell last year.

Santa in jail singing and dancing was awesome.

I also like 'Elf'.
Smiling is my favorite....

I especially like the song that has been so demonized that is sung in it.

If you listen to the whole song first it's him trying to get her to stay but then it's her trying to get him to stay.

It's a humorous song... romantic and fun all at the same time. And the harmony of two parts sung well is awesome.

There's this one Christmas movie but I can't remember the name of it about a woman who's all stressed out at her job in the city and she goes back home for Christmas and meets this guy but keeps bumping into her old boyfriend making it real uncomfortable and in the end she learns the true meaning of Christmas. Anybody remember the name of that movie?

The Christmas Card- (hallmark)

Also a like. The small town community open arms to strangers and a focus on service men deployed during Christmas.
