Well, a crucified Christ is foolishness to them, not really because they did not celebrate the passover. But because they find no sense and wisdom in that, according to their knowledge of sound human reasoning and wisdom. Their basis of accepting and believing something is that, which many of the so called wise and intelligent of our time today also do. It was their stumbling block then and is also the stumbling block today of many a wise men.
