That is not what they believed at all. There are older documents that are not so easy to find that prove that is all nonsense.

Ellen White wrote the Great Controversy. She knew full well why so many early Christians were hunted down and tortured and killed by the Roman Catholic Church. And it would be silly if she did all that while agreeing with the RCC's position on the trinity. The majority of those killed by the church died professing faith in the ONE true God Almighty - no trinity. A belief punishable by death for the church of that era.

Those who seek with sincerity, and humility of heart, find that Truth to be plain and obvious. Most Christians, especially those who attend church regularly and who have been through seminary, have a much lighter grasp of the entire Bible than they give themselves credit for. Not only do those institutions teach mostly New Testament, but they only teach a fraction of that. Read the Bible, a KJV, from cover to cover ONCE and you will know more than any of those ever teach. Read it TWICE and you'll know more than the vast majority of pastors and preachers that are active today.

The Truth is the Truth no matter what organization, or big wig, shouts and decrees otherwise. God made certain that His Truth would never be silenced, and to this very day it reigns supreme over the most powerful people and institutions in all the world.

The trinity is a false doctrine sold wholesale to the masses who want to be told what to believe, but have no time or taste for diligent Bible study.

Any answer will do for God's Anointed is not named Immanuel.

This is one of the silliest claims to deity I've come across. Recently I list 4 absurdities with it. For brevity sake are all Immanuel's also God? If not, why not?

The idea that a name meaning 'God with us' must be taken literally shows the complete absence of an explicit teaching in Scripture to support your claim. IF Jesus were God, there'd be a statement like The nature of God is a trinity - consisting of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit who are co-equal, co-substantial and co-eternal - and if you do not believe this, you cannot be saved but are damned to hell forever. If there were such a verse, it would be the most quoted verse in Scripture by those who claim one’s salvation depends on believing it. The concept of the trinity is so important that in 66 books, it is not mentioned once!

Trinitarians suppose there is no evidence at all one way or the other except these obscure inferences. Untrue.

By contrast, to show how the Bible is revered for its explicitnes, The most important commandment, the Sh’ma, begins Deut 6:4 (NOG) Yahweh is our Elohim. Yahweh is the only God. Other translations say God is one (singular) – and no translation says God is 3-in-one. Also, consider:
