Problem is the selections are being made for us.
Here, you can choose this one or that one. And neither is perfect.
We will always find flaws.
Politics for me has taken a back seat lately. About the only thing I been following is the Fani and Wade trial in Georgia.
And even that I am falling asleep half way through.
I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks if the Judge decides she will be removed from the case against Trump.
But even so, that doesn't mean another prosecuter can't take the ball and run with it.
But if they did it wouldn't go to court until after the election.

Which one is that anyways I forget. What is Fani prosecuting Trump for?
Oh yeah, about trying to steal the election in Georgia because he made a phone call.

I think they tried that with Ukraine and it flopped.

Look, there's like 15,000 votes that haven't been verified as authentic. They have no signatires, or they don't live where they say they live, or they belong to dead people still on the voter role.

If the Georgia prosecutor is removed for misconduct....it's known as "fruit of the poison vine" and the whole case is dismissed. It has to be dropped and might be restarted on different grounds. (Because she and he were personally involved in its creation)

I discussed two founding documents of the founding fathers.
And where many of the founding fathers claimed to be deists...that's because to claim a particular denomination was to claim emnity with other denominations. And these men were more peaceful than that. (Hard to tell by their revolutionary speeches and actions but with other Colonists they sought peace and working together.)

I decided to start this discussion thread because I dislike how so many evangelical Christians fervently support Donald Trump. Indeed, their support for the guy is unwavering and often fanatical, a description that is by no means hyperbolic. A cursory glance at the life of Trump demonstrates that he is a deeply sinful man. One such example is that he has been married three times, having divorced two wives already, and it gets worse: All three women were betrayed including his third wife, Melania. During Trump’s third marriage, he slept with an aged porn star and paid her hush money to keep the affair a secret (which didn’t turn out too well for him).

To be clear about something: I am not arguing whether or not Trump is a sincere Christian. That isn’t the topic of this discussion. My opinion is that, while Trump pays lip service to the evangelical political positions to court their votes, he is only saying what he must say to garner support, get the right-wing votes, and ultimately get what he wants: Another shot at being POTUS for four more years. Obviously Trump’s so-called faith in Christ exists only insofar as it benefits his political career. That is why there aren’t any accounts of him being a regular church-going Christian.

When Donald Trump lost the 2020 Presidential Election to Joe Biden, something truly terrible ensued: An insurrection at the White House. Trump supporters stormed the place, bringing with them Confederate flags, many of them armed, and some people died. It was truly a national disgrace.

Granted Trump didn’t give any specific orders to overthrow the White House. But consider the nature of his speech: It was vindictive with victimhood written all over it, and there was an implicit assumption of violence. Inciting an insurrection indirectly is still inciting an insurrection! Fortunately there are over a dozen states that are now trying to keep the insurrectionist off the ballot so he doesn’t become president again, and hopefully dozens more states will follow suit.

Jesus has been nicknamed the Prince of Peace because he taught love, mercy, compassion, kindness, and all the great heavenly virtues. How do Evangelical Christians reconcile Jesus’ pacifism with their support for Trump, a notorious insurrectionist? Jesus also taught lifetime monogamy in Matthew 19:8-9. How do Evangelical Christians reconcile Jesus’ teaching about marital faithfulness with Trump's serial betrayals against all three of his wives?

Trump is the better choice. The democrats fail in so many ways these days. And I noticed they have been attacking Christianity. Which makes me think Jesus will return soon. They push transgender on the children and no meat eating. It was prophecy that came true now from the bible.

Some studies place the blame squarely on social media feeds. This is because algorithms feed like videos. And this has a polarizing effect. It shapes people's world view to become more polarized.

Jesus didn't need the support of the Pharisees and Saducees or even the temple they built for themselves.. Whitehouse..
He just did the right thing whenever the situation arose.
And they hated him for it, and Jesus says they will hate us for it too.
That shouldn't stop us from doing what's right and loving our friends and neighbors and even our enemies.
We have to stop allowing the government to dictate to us what is good and what is evil, specially when they can't even tell the difference between the right hand and the left.

The whole premise of him urging his followers to come was to supposedly take back the election. I saw this forum used as a platform for rallying people to go to the WH on January 6th with guns if need be. THAT is what I myself witnessed. I wasn't there in person at the WH.

There were at least three known guns in the crowd. Not one of them used. However, the FBI, in charge with the Federal investigation, came up with nothing.

Yet, you liberals yell and scream about something no Federal investigator established and the main fact that no one was charged with the crime.

If we go with extreme speeches and behavior .......let's go and arrest Chuck Schumer threatening Kavanaugh at the steps of the Supreme Court ......A direct threat! I can't think of recent right wing nut jobs taking a gun and actually trying to kill Congressmen recently ......but the left sure has.
