People made leaders in the Galatian church that Paul didn't even know who they were.
Maybe the people ordained them?
Maybe they believe God ordained them?
A good question, how do we know for sure?
Good observation, but God do ordain leader in "HIS" church, scripture, 1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues". the word set is the Greek word, G5087 τίθημι tithemi (tiy'-thee-miy) v.
θέω theo (the'-ō) [an alternate in certain tenses]
1. to place.
KJV: + advise,
appoint, bow, commit, conceive, give, X kneel down, lay (aside, down, up), make,
ordain, purpose, put, set (forth), settle, sink down
Compare: G2476, G2749
but notice God said that he set
some, not all. and please understand, an office (here in the west) is not the same in eastern thinking. it is more of a function, which is correct. people today misunderstand what these functions are. one of the best example of this is the so called pastor office, no such thing, as well as the "OFFICE" of bishop, meaning an elder, from which the work derives. only people misunderstand this concept of "office". it's a work, not some position or rank.
be blessed.
