can you say me it
Unintelligible post. Please try again.

To the subject of this post I submit that 'the opposer', as the devil is sometimes called, CAN and DOES live in tranquility of a sort. It doesn't seem to bother people, or Christians, who follow its temptations and suggestions. It does oppose those who seek God and God's ways.

Humans tend to act in animalistic fashion. As far as this goes the devil supports self-destructive tendencies by causing the temptation to seem good - at least in the beginning of the process. The Bible refers to this condition as 'worldly contentment' or 'worldly peace'. The peace Christ offers cannot be understood by those who live in their carnal/worldly nature because it opposes the world.

For instance, peace with God can be experienced by one who has surrendered to Christ. It takes the form of confidence in the face of a crisis. It takes the form of compassion and fellowship in the face of grief and the loss of a personal friend or relation. It takes the form of hope in the face of physical death.

Peace with the world/devil is experienced when one's passions are sated. It's experienced when one expresses hate or persecution of another person. It's experienced when one wins a contest or steals something. ...and then the end comes as the devil laughs at the poor sucker who followed it into the grave.....

that's me, hollering from the choir loft...
