But the one I like the most is the "TRIBULATION-ERA-RAPTURE"; or ALL the purported "Daniel" (2, 7, 8, 9, & 11) fulfillments; or the RCC "seven mountains"; or the "Day or Hour" which includes the "Week", "Month", "Season", "Year - 1", "Decade - 10", "Score - 20", "Century - 100", "Daytona - 500" , and "Millennia - 1,000". -- What a MASSIVE load of barnyard!
Could anyone have emptied their intestines more than any of these --- from the PULPIT?!? Makes me laugh at the nonsense, if people didn't actually fall for this.

That isn't necessary. You argue that since Paul lists apostles along with prophets, evangelists, teachers and preachers, and such people exist today, that apostles must also exist today. I disagree with your conclusion. It is NOT necessary for the church to have apostles today because the apostles speak to the church through the New Testament.
I gave you passages to study on your own. Along with those I offer Peter's word on the subject, which you can study for your own edification also. With regard to knowledge and teaching about the gospel, Peter tells you that you have all you need.
2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
It does not follow that every age must contain an apostle, since the apostles have already done the job of giving the church the full knowledge of Jesus Christ. It's all in the New Testament.

Problem is if this is all true then what do we do with the guys in the long robes and the tall head pieces declaring we acknowledge their authority?
How is it you recognize the successors of Moses and not the successors of Peter and the apostles?

(col 1:18) the new and eternal covenant, (pre-figured Jer 31:31) (Heb 8:8) new covenant replaces the Mosaic covenant, (Heb 8:13) Christ replaces David as king, (Lk 1:32-33) Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and men, (1 Tim 2:5 & Heb 12:24) but a mediator remains on earth mediating between God and His people, but Christ ascended to heaven, (acts 1) before He did He founded His church, on Peter, and the apostles, and their successors!

( a son, singular)

(This verse imply’s a vow of perpetual virginity, She refuses even the exalted dignity of mother of God and mother of our savior if it means violating Her vow)
Lk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
(Her son, singular is God)

Apparently Peter didnt understand the way you do, considering his reluctance to go to the Gentiles. Have you thought carefully about this, the nations Jesus is referring to, could this be something you don’t have knowledge of?

If we assign ourselves to the worship of men, we limit ourselves to knowing only what they tell us we know.
theefaith, everybody believes that Christ gave teachers, but not everybody believes it the way you do.
Speaking as the the classical positions of this debate:
- Catholics will interpret this as a visible church, with one big earthly institution. There's a lot of emphasis as the importance of patriarchary, tradition, and in general earthly leaders / their words.
- Protestant will interpret this as a invisible church, of small followers and very focused on individual relationships with Christ. A local pastor is not viewed as being "self anointed", but rather being directly called of God, as was Peter.
People in BOTH camps are striving to follow God in the best way they know how. And while their is obviously disagreement on major points, respect should indeed be given. Implying that a non-Catholic is in anyway not following Christ because they aren't Catholic (which what you are doing in this post and many others) is very inaccurate and offensive.
That is a statement from Catholic Tradition, not the Bible.
You may indeed believe it and believe in the validity of Catholic Tradition. But such a stance cannot successfully be argued from a sola scriptura standpoint.
