You might like to read #5, servant, if you haven't.

I didn't read it initially, but I know have and will respond. There is nothing in your post that I can disagree with, but if I may ask you a question. At what point did the baptism of the Holy Ghost become available to those who confess faith and repentence?

The Holy Spirit acts upon all who hear the gospel, whether it is accepted or not. He becomes available in a different way once conversion has taken place, i.e. when commitment of one's life is made.

Acts 1:5For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." Did the thief on the cross receive this? And is this the same baptism that is required for salvation, or are there more baptisms other than Johns baptism? The baptrism into death. The water baptism of John towards repentence and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Which, in your opinion, is the required one, and which did the thief on the cross receive to gain entrance to paradise?

Baptism in the Holy Spirit was not then required for salvation. The OT saints did not receive it. The thief on the cross was in their situation, receiving neither sort of baptism.

Fashions, customs, rituals and all the sacraments are only trimming on the cake. Nesasary for the churches, yes, but not nesasary for salvation.Consider those with no access to these rituals, Would God somehow loose these soals becaus ethey have missed some kind of man made ritiul. Never. All soals are Gods and he is a greedy God, never loosing any of us. Churches must survive. It is the duty of all christians to partisipate in these ritual even knowing they are not 100% nessasary for salvation.Lets remember that Jesu died to create a church, it it in our best interest to perpetuate his will.RegardsDL

Baptism isn't required for salvation but is required in your relationship with God. You won't lose your salvation, as that can never be taken from you once it is received. Baptism simply strengthens your relationship with our Father, provided it is done properly.
What do you mean it can never be taken away once received? We can lose our salvation any day. Our life style can actually cause us to lose salvation and go to Hell....

Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Jesus (Yahshua) saved. Baptism (water) doesn't save. Only Christ saves...Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:equals this...to meActs 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.Acts 10:47-48 - (Peter saith) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.I Peter 3:18-22 - For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.I prefer everybody to be water baptized in his/her Saviour's name...because doing so, strengthen people's faith., it gives us a good conscience towards God. However I will warn you, that sprinkling/infant baptism is NOT scriptural...it is of man. That's not how Yahshua/Jesus did it.And actually you can lose salvation...ever heard of the unforgivable sin.Matthew 12:31 - Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.Mark 3:29 - But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.Luke 12:10 - And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgivenLovest thou in Christ Jesus (Yahshua) our Lord and Saviour.P.S. I love to let the bible do the talking.

So God lied when He said that He gives ETERNAL life? It only lasts until you sin? That means most (if not all) of us would have to get saved over and over again each day. I don't have temporary life. I have ETERNAL life. Also, I believe the only unforgivable sin is rejecting Jesus Christ and dying lost.

The thing is, Jon-Marc, Yes, God does give eternal life, God keep his promises, it just mankind refuses to return to the Faith in Christ, after their backsliding...yes we can lose salvation...Luke 12:10 - And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

No, God didn't lie. But if you read scriptures carefully - it always has IF or BUT behind every promise. We will be saved IF we live by God's word and His principles work. Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. When God freed Israel from Egypt into promise land - did all of them get there? NO. Most of people fell in the dessert - due to losing faith and turned away from their righeous ways. Losing FAITH will cause you to lose your salvation.Or read Ezekiel charpet 16 It talks about God finding Israel when she was abandoned int he dessert, and He fell in love, and married her, and called her HIS, and then she turned away from Him and commited adultery with other man-made gods, and God turned away from her! He then geve her time, and she never came back to him. That's when he replaced her with gentyles, a wife who will be faithful.

Your salvation may be based on your goodness and faithfulness, but mine is based on Jesus' goodness and faithfulness and the grace of God. If I had to depend on my faithfulness to get to heaven I 'd be in serious trouble. Jesus did all that was necessary on the cross which is why He said, "It is finished." If I am truly born again, I will desire and seek God's will. However, I'm not so pious to say that I am capable of doing anything that will ensure my entrance into heaven. That is works, and works will not get us into heaven, only the grace of God. "Not of works, lest any man should boast." Eph. 2:9

Faith and failthfulness is required for salvation. - see verses.....Also, have you read the parable about 10 virgins (bride of Christ) They have already been pronounced intitled of salvation, ready to meet their Groom. And guess what, only 5 out of 10 were ready and prepared. Only those 5 came in to the feast of the Lord, and other 5 were left outside forever. They knocked and begged and God said, I never knew you! And many more parables, like the one with the servants (already His servants) where 1 of them was faithfull and got saved at the end the other one thrown into the fire for being unfaithful in his duties to the Lord....Hebrews 6:9 (Whole Chapter) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the lawPhilippians 2:12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faithRomans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Without 'works' your faith is already dead.James 2:20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Our works are not a requirement of salvation, because there is nothing we can do but accept the gift we have been given, which is the atoning blood of the Lamb of God, but rather our works are outgrowth of our gratefulness and thanksgiving of the joy of our salvation. We love others and do for other because of what has been bestowed on us. This is how a Christian can be spitted upon and yet still have love in their heart. This is how a Christian while in the very process of being stoned to death can show pity and a forgiving heart as opposed to hatred and revenge as Stephen did.Works matter little in what we do but rather, the heart in which we do them.
