Why not???? You claim God does and we are being conformed into His image.
You honestly don't know why Christians don't hate anyone? Have you ever read the NT?
Luke 6:27 (KJV)
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

"Is God Really All Loving?"
Of course not. He hated Esau.
So Christians who are conformed into the image of the Son of God don't hate but God does? I'm going to let you in on a little secret. God is love. Everything He does... Everything He thinks... Everything that emanates from God no matter how small or big, is an act of love. It cannot be anything except love, because that is what God is. It is His nature and He cannot deny Himself. That is why I am saying that whatever the hatred means toward Esau, it is motivated by love. It is love in the end which is the prime motivating factor behind the destruction of sinners. Like I said earlier, the opposite of love is not hate, it's selfishness. Study the scriptures. Discover the relationship between selfishness and sin... Love and righteousness. Selfishness and disobedience to God's Commandments... Love and obedience.

Sorry if there was already a topic created about this but @Bobby Jo and I were just talking about this privately and I finally thought of how to make it into a topic. (Ironically I was also just reading something in the Bible yesterday about how somebody wanted God to "calm down" even though His anger is always sinless.) Anyways, we were also just recently talking about on here how christianforums.com is pretty much a socialist liberalist website and we have a lot of former members on here. (@Heart2Soul and @Taken I want you to see this thread too.)

They believe that God is all loving, all accepting, and don't believe in the second amendment or that anybody should hold any accountability for their actions. That's where I have to say that I don't know what Bible they're reading, or why they think that they're promoting equality and freedom in America, but I think that they are absolutely one hundred percent crazy!! I got BANNED and SILENCED when I tried standing up to them and for my rights as an American and that really ticked me off!!
According to 1 Corinthians 13, I believe God is all-loving. :)

This is a little off track but in the light of your post above Backlit, I think sin has in itself the seeds of self destruction so in the final analysis I think sinners will destroy themselves.

an aside....I don't think Jesus' death was a general non descriptive pool of death for others; rather it was personal for each individual which he gave life to and knew by name. Their growth from the womb observed, their birth and development watched over....their angles ever present.....the gift of life and right given to each and yet they choose the path of self destruction. Such is the deceptive power of evil.........and God will weep as those who he loved and died for, refuse the life he came to freely give.

When I met Christ he simultaneously announced that I have sinned against the Lord and let me know how much he loves me. He is love, a love that is almost unimaginable. I have been longing for heaven ever since. There is no love on planet earth that even comes close to how much he loves you.

That’s awesome.

Say what?
When His people insist on believing the soul is instantly sanctified, which is not the case, He will use every means at His disposal to snap them out of their delusion.
Picture God on the golf course. His goal is to put the ball in the hole. (Our complete salvation)
But the ball thinks it's already in the hole and believes only a bad guy would hit it.
Every time God swings His club, the ball jumps and says, "get behind me, bad guy!"
God values our free will.
At a certain point He has one club left in His golf bag.
He pulls it out and taking the sock off of it, one sees a mean, ugly, shriveled-up red face that has horns on it's head.
If one goes into eternity with a diseased soul, well, I don't want to speculate or go beyond the revelation God has currently given me.
We have been taught a truncated view of the gospel.
What I am putting forth here is the gospel taught by Jesus and the apostles of the new testament.
Jesus said, "If you love Me, you'll obey Me."
Jesus said, If you want to follow Me, you must deny self, take up your cross, and follow me."
To death of self.
A day at a time.
He also said that if we don't do this, then we're not worthy of Him.
He said it, not me.
He said that if I try to save my life, I will lose it, but if I lose it for His sake, I'll gain it and eternal life.
All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord (if you love me, you'll obey me/how can you say you love me when you don't do what I tell you?), and are called according to His purpose (which is to transform us into His image through the ongoing death and resurrection process called the daily cross).
The Lord advises us to first count the cost.
Seek the Lord with all your heart and He will bless you from the start. :)

Okay, but what does that have to do with God's love and the pandemic?

Really nothing. You will have people say that pandemics are sent by God, people will say that God sent it because He loves, God sent the pandemic because it is judgement. The truth - this pandemic virus was put together by bad people in a lab and the virus escaped, still it is a natural thing. If you look in the past most pandemics lasted two years but people always said the same thing even back in ancient times. When the next pandemic hits people will respond the same way.

All that to say pandemics are in nature and noting more or less and has nothing to do with God being loving. :)

So in other words in Layman's terms?
Well back in my younger days, I would fear my Dad, only because I respected him, so I did not want to disappoint him and that was always the same all the way until he died.
The same with Jesus Christ, but I know collectively that we all will reap what we sow, do the wrong thing by others and you are dealing with fire and you may get your hands burnt. so we have to obey Jesus Christ and point out to all when they are wrong, because such is like a pox that is spread around, or like a garden that is not attended too and the weeds let to overrun your crop and you will have nothing to eat = reaping what you sowed, it takes effort to have a healthy garden and so to as with a society it's much the same.

Nathaniel and the Fig tree and The Garden and the evil Tenants come to mind.

I think Jesus wants us to love our enemies because we could very easily be seeing them in heaven. We have to look past the sin and see the precious spirit in the sin prone body.

Now if God decides to hate someone, there must be a good reason. God hated Esau. It straight up says that. I am not sure exactly why, I guess because he sold his birthright for some chili.

So what would make someone hated by God? I’m guessing the complete rejection of God by that person. At some point he will give you over to your reprobate mind and your soul will perish. What is left to love of that person?
