    Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

God is not flesh and blood, but is Spirit. Jesus was God in the flesh of a man. God humbled Himself to live as a human, and was tempted in everyway we have been. The Bible says this. The great and glorious part is, Even though Jesus was tempted, He was sinless, thuss showing farther that He is God.

Since we know God can't sin, and every man is a sinner and has sinned, we know Jesus was man, and didn't sin, and therefore is God.

Oh, yeah, and just to mention, The Bible does say Jesus is God. Enough said.

    Thread end.

    Not enough said.

Scripture says GOD cannot be tempted. Have you reconciled that verse? Can you reconcile that verse?

So until ALL Scripture agrees, you have a faulty doctrine. Please let me know when ALL Scripture agrees. :)

    LOLOL,

What nonsense. -- But given you were probably there, please provide the names of the three individuals who were killed. It's a simple question which you can undoubtedly answer.

The fact is, you have absolutely no clue as to the Daniel 2 FIVE world empires (Ref. Dan. 2:45); you have no clue as to the Daniel 7 FOUR beasts (including the bear's three ribs), and I would propose you have no clue as to the other prophecies of this book.

    To All,

We should be dismayed that some treat Scripture as though it were a buffet line, -- picking and choosing which portions they want, and disregarding the rest. These things happen through out societies, but it's unconscionable that when Scripture offers ABSOLUTE TRUTHS, that we should see half truths, and/or no truths being presented as TRUTH.

Take for example the insistence that "'All one would need to do is study the history of those Empires ...". If these TRUTHS are so obvious (which history denies) then why doesn't this individual defend his own points?

Certainly intellectual dishonesty is an unfortunate manifestation of the fallen human nature, but we should aspire to the Christ nature, and thereby the honest and integrity therein.

    Hey DB,

I have no problem that Jesus was as I defined in my Page 5, Post #136.

So do you know that GOD cannot be tempted?

    James 1:13
[sup]13[/sup] Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

If Jesus was in his full GOD manifestation, exactly how was it that he WAS TEMPTED?!? :)

So until ALL Scripture agrees, you have a faulty doctrine. Please let me know when ALL Scripture agrees. :)

    To All,

THEGypsy has received the TRUTH from GOD. Maybe some in this Forum need to judge what is being taught from the pulpit, and receive the TRUTH that is proclaimed in Scripture. And there is Helper who is always available for you!

Jesus is God. He is the second person in the Holy Trinity. The second person (who is God) is 100% human and 100% divine. He has two natures. His divine nature is God and His human nature came from Mary because Jesus is not only called "the Son of God", but also the "son of Mary." It is the human nature of Jesus who was tempted, and Jesus overcame that temptation.

We believe in a God who not only knows about humility, but has also experienced humility. Only one who has experienced something would truly know more about it than one who has never experienced it at all. The Christian God is not a God who only tells humans to be humble, but also knows from experience what it means to be humble because He humbled Himself to that of a human. God knows about death and even knows death from experience because when He incarnated Himself as a man, His human nature experienced death. A god who only tells humans to be humble and has never experienced humility or even death is a god who really knows nothing at all. Humans would know much more than God about humility and death because they experienced it. But the God we believe in knows all these things through knowledge AND experience; therefore, He is truly a God who knows everything.

    Hi Selene,

You are correct that Jesus was tempted. Thus he had to lay aside his GOD nature to become a lowly man. And to prove this point, I would assert that there's NOTHING that Jesus did as a man, that we can't equally do (except forgive sins). And when he died, he assumed his rightful authority.

Amen! That is the gospel! :)

He took on our nature, and now we take on his, and so we can be, by his power, as he is!

    Blessings, brother!

    Hi UHCAlan,

Thanks for your in-depth analysis. I've always been easily confused by actual Scriptures, logic, and reason. It's so much simpler to jump right straight to a conclusion.

Christ never laid aside His God nature.

He kept it from birth to become the Lamb without blemish.

He also showed and taught you how to obtain the same through His sacrifice.

Besides I can also forgive sins because Christ said so.

    Matthew 9
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"--then He said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

If the Spirit in you is Christ then you will do the same

    John 14
12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

    LOL,

GOD is three things: Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. Per you doctrine, Jesus was all these things. Per Scripture Jesus was none of these things.

But I believe you, over Scripture.

This is not true because you would have to understand scripture to believe it. It is apparent what you believe by what comes out of your mouth. To those of the Spirit of God everyone and everything is an open book.

    Luke 6
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Jesus was flesh and blood.... that is far from 'God nature' as God is a 'spirit'

God added humanity to His Godhood. If you don't believe that then it will be very hard for you to understand the purpose and reason why God made human beings.

Who doesn't think the Jewish fables here of denying Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh has gone on long enough?

    Isa 45:21
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside Me.
    (KJV)

Doesn't matter what one wants to call theirself who claim to have believed on the Blood of Jesus Christ shed upon the cross; either a Christian or a Messianic Jew, the Bible declaration that The Christ is God is not to be denied. Otherwise, those who have believed would be denying the very Promise of Salvation which God The Father ordained through Christ Jesus The Saviour.

All throughout Christ's Ministry the blind scribes and Pharisees tried to get Jesus of Nazareth to admit plainly that He is God The Saviour.

    Luke 2:10-12
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
    (KJV)

    John 4:42
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
    (KJV)

Since God said He is The Saviour through His prophet Isaiah, and there is no other besides Him, then why won't people believe it? Christ's Apostles would not make an error in calling Christ Jesus The Saviour if He were not God The Saviour.

    Isa. 42:8 says,

    8 “I am the LORD, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another,
Nor My praise to graven images.

    [sup]Isa. 42:13 says,[/sup][sup] [/sup]

13 The LORD will go forth like a warrior,
He will arouse His zeal like a man of war.
He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a

war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.

    Isa. 43:10-11 says,

10 “You are My witnesses,” declares the
Lord“And My servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and believe Me
And understand that I am He.
    Before Me

there was no God formed,And there will be
    none after Me.
    11 “I, even I, am the LORD,
And there is no savior besides Me.

    Isa. 44:24 says,

24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
and the one who formed you from the womb,
“I, the LORD, am the maker of all things,
Stretching out the heavens by Myself
And spreading out the earth all alone,

    Isa. 45:5-6 says,

    5 “I am the LORD, and there is no other;
Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you,

    though you have not known Me;
6 That men may know from the rising to
the setting of the sun That there is no one
besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no
    other,

    Isa. 48:10-12 says,

10 “Behold, I have refined you, but not as
silver; I have tested you in the furnace of
    affliction.
11 “For My own sake, for My own sake, I
will act; For how can My name be profaned?
And My glory I will not give to another.

12 “Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israel whom
I called; I am He, I am the first, I am also
    the last.
