Yes, I would.

I’m not interested in having a relationship with “another Jesus”.
No one is asking you to have a relationship with “another Jesus”.
The question is whether you would reject someone (everyone?) who claimed to know Jesus based on your own personal doctrine?
Your answer appears to be "Yes." You would reject someones claim to know Jesus based on your own personal doctrine.
Unless I am misunderstanding you. Correct me if I am wrong about that point. Thanks.

I’ve had many experiences of people asking me to have a relationship with “another Jesus”. Paul saw it happening in his day. I see it happening to others every day. It‘s been happening for twenty centuries.

For the most part, the Good News is no longer news.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In areas where the gospel has not been preached before, or is unknown, the Gospel is indeed Good News.
With the emphasis on NEWS.
But does the gospel lose its newsworthiness if known by the hearer?
- To whom is the Gospel not news at all?
- Is there good news for those already familiar?
- Can the Gospel be attractive to those who are SICK of hearing it?
- Is the Gospel a general message, or can it be personalized?
Is the Good News actual news? - No longer news to most
It is no longer news to most, particularly Good News, because they have believed a message which is considerably less than gob smacking.....to the point where the real deal is considered heresy.
Can the Gospel be attractive to those who are SICK of hearing it?
The danger zone is knowning the "news" and thinking that because you know it, you are become a Christian.
The Hot zone, is.... knowing the "news" for a long time....and now the "news" has become nothing to you....you can't hear it, you can't react to it., you can't BELIEVE IT, you really dont care.
"Universalism" will appeal to this type.
So, What has happened?
This person has crossed a line or a threshold in their conscience, ... it has become a "seared conscience", and they can no longer be drawn by the Holy Spirit ever again.
They are LOST.
So what is the good news? How many versions of it are there?
Jesus called it “the good news of the kingdom” (Matt 24:14) and yet in Christendom, the truth about God’s Kingdom has been lost in a mess of confusion. None seem to be able to succinctly define what the Kingdom of God actually is.
So, first identify what the Kingdom is....what is its purpose.....and how long does its reign last?
Can you tell me?
But does the gospel lose its newsworthiness if known by the hearer?
Rather than to lose its lustre....the good news ignites a spark that cannot be extinguished. It becomes the motivating force that inspires us to want to make it known to all who will listen.
- To whom is the Gospel not news at all?
To the believers in a false truth, and to unbelievers alike. It is a revelation that takes them to a place that they have never been before....to a truth that was hidden from them by the misleading doctrines of men. (Matt 15:7-9)
- Is there good news for those already familiar?
Yes! Every time we see a soul saved because we have imparted the truth to them and it is embraced wholeheartedly. Seeing a change in their whole demeanour and lifestyle brings us joy.
It’s our assignment and every true Christian will become a teacher who will, in turn teach others. (Rev 22:17; Matt 28:19-20) This is how Christianity was to grow. From small beginnings, it has spread out into the whole world....but so have the “weeds” planted by the devil, leading people into a false counterfeit religion that cannot even agree with itself.
- Can the Gospel be attractive to those who are SICK of hearing it?
If you are sick of hearing it, you are not a true Christian at all.....but a fake “weed”...a poor imitation.
- Is the Gospel a general message, or can it be personalized?
It is personal to each and every person who takes the message seriously. Becoming a Christian is a commitment, not just joining a church that teaches what you want to hear and believe. It means a life of dedicated service to the Lord who bought you....you belong to him and are under obligation to follow his teachings and example....to spread the word to others. (Matt 24:14)
The world is full of label wearers.....”Christianity” is not a label, but a lifestyle.
It doesn’t describe what you do...but what you are 24/7.
It's Good News when it gets past the ears and reaches the heart of man, opening the eyes of the blind (spiritually).
To that person it will be Good News forever.
Good news to those who are seeking good news?
Some consider it to be bad news.
If it means joining a church that makes them uncomfortable.
Aligning with people that have a bad reputation in the community.
That's no problem for those who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are walking in the Spirit.
Easier said than done as time goes by, but it's a daily taking up of the Cross in surrender.
