You have read of 'Easter' in the King James Authorized Version; you have not read it in a Greek Manuscript, have you?
What would you instead have read, had you read the Greek where you read 'easter' in KJ? You would have read, 'pascha'--'passover'.

A priori not the same, and so clearly visibly irreconcilable.
Please don't try etymological tricks, they're hackneyed, no, they're dead -- dead horses beaten dead by false prophets Labans. So they're actually dead donkeys. You want to pull the Gospel of Christ forward with one dead donkey just because you're too proud to admit the KJV 1611 is just human also just like me - and you, - are just human?

Since you know that the Passover (which is Nisan 14) and The feast of unleavened bread which was Nisan 15 ....(at sunset of 14 Nisan) formally called Abid ....and that the Feast was a high day (special sabbath) and two days following the high day was the weekly sabbath which was Saturday counting backwards that puts the crucifixion on a Wednesday before sunset.

Or you could start with John 12:1 and catalog the events forward from the 6 days

Thursday Nisan 8 - six days before Passover.
John 12:1

Friday Nisan 9 - Jesus makes his first entry into Jerusalem (on an ass's colt.)
Mar 11:1-11 / Luk 19:29-44 / Jhn 12:12-19

Saturday Nisan 10 -
weekly sabbath / second entry into Jerusalem (ass "and" a colt) /the Passover lamb is selected
Mat 21:1-17 /Mar 11:12-19 / Luk 19:45 & 46

Sunday Nisan 11 -
first day of the week /Jesus taught in Temple confronted by Sadducees, Pharisees & Herodians.
Mat 21:18 - 26:5 / Mar 11:20 - 14:2 / Luk 20:1 - 22:2

Monday Nisan 12 – Dinner at Simon the Leper / Jesus sends Peter & John to secure a place for Passover
Mat 26:6-19 / Mar 14:3-16 / Luk 22:3-13

Tuesday Nisan 13 – Last supper (not Passover) / garden of Gethsemane / Jesus taken by solders possibly around 9 or 10 pm…. interrogated and tortured throughout the night and day of the 13th.
Mat 26:20 - 27:31a / Mar 14:17 - 15:20a / Luk 22:14 - 23:25 / Jhn 13:1-19a

Wednesday Nisan 14
– Interrogation and torture continued late into the evening of the 14 and crucified at 9am on the morning of the 14th (nearly 40 hours of interrogation and torture.) / Jesus gave His life up at 3 pm (our time). He was wrapped in a linen by Joseph of Arimathea and placed in the tomb provided by Joseph. Shortly afterwards (sometime before sunset) Nicodemus came with the myrrh and aloes and did the grave wrappings on Jesus.
Mat 27:31b-61 / Mar 15:20b-47 / Luk 23:26-55 / Jhn 19:16b-42

Thursday Nisan 15 - High day special sabbath. (Unleavened bread) No work to be done
Mat 27:62-66

Friday Nisan 16 women buy the spices to perform proper burial “unaware of Nicodemus’s prior actions”.
Mar 16:1 / Luk 23:56a

Saturday Nisan 17
weekly sabbath No work to be done God raises Jesus sometime before sunset 72 hours
Mat 28:1-4 / Luk 23:56b

Sunday Nisan 18

intresting perspectives here, great verses too :)

I probably should have included this explanation on the ..... Two different entries that Jesus had into Jerusalem

There is a biblical aspect to the donkeys that Jesus rode ….one in judgment (Friday Nisan 9) and the other as King (Saturday Nisan 10)

Following is both entries that took place. There are several differences between the two entries, I have mentioned a few, but it is not exhaustive. All scripture is linked KJV to save space….you will need to read those to see how this unfolds.

First entry into Jerusalem

The 9th of Nisan (Friday) 5 days before Passover (as per
John 12:1)

Jhn 12:12-19, Luk 19:29-44, Mar 11:1-11

This is the first entry into Jerusalem. Only one animal …an ass’s colt was involved.

In eastern culture a ruler riding on an ass’s colt was indicative of judgment

Jdg 5:10, Jdg 10:3&4, Jdg 12:13&14

Understanding eastern culture.

In the east…. animals were donated to the temple for God’s service…. and were kept in a special place. These temple animals were usually in a stable on the outskirts of town where they were always ready for temple use. They could be used by any holy man in service to the Lord, as they were gifts to God according to biblical culture.

The first entry was an assessment to pass judgment. The last word in Luk 19:44 is visitation = (episkopē)… meaning “inspection, overlooking”

Jesus’s second entry… the next day

Mar 11:12&13 makes this Nisan 10 (Saturday)

Mat 21:1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

Mat 21:2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

On his second entry Jesus rode in on an ass and a colt ….the significance of which prophesied in Zec 9:9

9. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Mat 21:4-7

The entry of the previous day…. involve the rejoicing of the disciples and the multitude of bystanders attracted by the news that the man who raised Lazarus from the dead is coming.

In the second entry…. the entire city responded and questioned, who is this?....

Mat 21:10 says all the city was moved…….. Unwittingly, the onlooker in Jerusalem were witnessing God’s selection of Jesus as the final Passover lamb. Notably, it is on the 10th of Nisan, which is the day designated to select the Passover lamb. How remarkable that Israel was seeing the perfect lamb….. the one without spot in blemish.

On this second entry, He went to the temple again as He had the previous day. However, He did not simply look around and go back to Bethany, this time He overthrew the merchant tables and taught the people. ( Mat 21:12&13)

In Mar 11:15 ....the second entry is noted, but without details. However Mar 11:15-17 does record the incident with the money changers..

The gospel of Luke does not mention the second entry …..although it does record this incident with the money changers immediately following the account of the first entry in Luk 19:45&46….

{By studying the gospels together…. with the principle of the narrative development, one can understand that the passage in Luke covers events over a period longer than a single day. Recording events that occur over a long period of time without relating the time factors involved is characteristic of the gospels, especially Luke.}

The market was a lucrative business for both the merchants and the religious leaders of the temple. The sin to which Jesus objected was not that lucrative commerce was conducted in the temple area…. but rather the corruption and hypocrisy involved the selling of second rated goods at first rate prices…….the temple market had become a dishonest den of thieves. Jesus was not in any way cruel or physically abusive to these men and He did not whip any of the merchants…. He did overthrow their tables.

To sell polluted bread and crippled animals for offerings to the Lord was a complete contradiction to the Word of God which specified that only the best of animals was to be offered.

Rom 4:25 . . He was delivered over to death for our sins, and was restored
to life for our justification.

The Greek word translated "justification" roughly pertains to acquittal,
defined as a ruling of innocence due to a lack of sufficient evidence to
convict.

Note that Jesus' crucifixion alone wasn't sufficient to gain folks an acquittal,
viz: had his crucified dead body not been restored to life, we'd all remain in
very grave danger of facing justice at the great white throne event depicted
at Rev 20;11-15.

1Cor 15:17 . . If Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless, and
you are still under condemnation for your sins.

HERE is the LATE NOON AND MID–AFTERNOON of the SECOND of the “three days”, Joseph and Nicodemus had laid the body and had closed the tomb; and men and women left for home:–
Mk15:46b–47; Mk27:60–61; Lk23:53b–56a; JN19:41–42
Luke 23:56And the women returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and began to rest the Sabbath day according to the (Sabbath) Commandment.

THE WRITTEN TEXT SEQUENCE NEVER BROKEN OR TWISTED DETERMINES THE CHRONOLOGICAL RESULTS. IF AT ANY ONE POINT SEQUENCE OF EVENTS DOES NOT MATCH SEQUENCE OF WORD FOR WORD ORDER, SEQUENCE OF WHATEVER, WHETHER OF EVENTS OR DAYS, IS WRONG.

All of the above pass this test. One being correct all being correct and visa versa. 2 Examples:

Last Week: Tuesday : TEACHING

3 days before (Friday) Abib 15 is Abib 12

Mark 11:20 “early ... fig tree dried up”
= Matthew 21:18-22; 45,46 “in the morning ... fig tree” cursed and “immediately dried up”
Mark 11:27,28 “in Jerusalem in temple ... by what authority”
= Matthew 21:23-25 “in temple ... what authority”
= Luke 20:1-8 “one of Those Days ... what authority”
Mark 12:35-37 “Jesus in the temple ... Dawid”
= Matthew 22:23; 41-46 “the Same Day”
= Matthew 24:1-3 “out of tempel … not be left one stone … on Mount of Olives disciples came privately”
= Matthew 26:1-2 “after two days ... crucified
= John 12:27-36
“this hour ... if I be lifted up from the earth”
= Luke 21:34-38 “on One of Those Days ... Watch that That Day come not upon you unawares”

If on Tuesday is “after two days ... crucified”, it's on Thursday crucified

Last Week: Wednesday :

2 days before (Friday) Abib 15 is Abib 13

Mark 14:1,2after two days was the unleavened (days)”,

sought how might take him ... not on feast”
= Matthew 26:3-5consulted that they might take Jesus ... not on feast”
= Luke 22:1,2 “feast drew near ... sought how
Mark 14:3-9 “house of Simon .. spikenard on head”
= Matteus 26:6-13 “house of Simon .. spikenard on head”
Mark 14:10,11Judas to priests ... promised him money”
= Matthew 26:14-16Judas to priests ... covenanted thirty pieces silver”
= Luke 22:3-6 “satan in Judas communed with priests ... covenanted money”
= John 12:37-50 “he that rejecteth me ... receiveth not my words”

If on Wednesday “after two days was the unleavened (days)”, then on Friday was the first and feast day of ULB

The first and feast day of ULB NEVER is called a 'sabbat' in the Old Testament. John 19:31 is the only Bible text naming the first and feast day of ULB "That Day great/high day of sabbath" "sabbath"

20m ·

Whether prospective or retrospective, there are only as many as 3 days in "three days and three nights".

13m ·

There are only so many as 6 days in "six days before passover-days" "on the first day without leaven" begins.

10m ·

There is only 1 day "on the day which is after the Preparation...the third day...the Sabbath...before the First Day of the week".

Friday Nisan 16 women buy the spices to perform proper burial “unaware of Nicodemus’s prior actions”.
Mar 16:1 / Luk 23:56a
<Mar 16:1> "when the Sabbath had gone through / was past" ... <Luk 23:56a> "late mid-afternoon the Sabbath was nearing" ... you have them in the wrong sequence.
I know you claim they are 'two sabbaths' - but,

Mark 16:1 διαγενομένου τοῦ σαββάτου "the Sabbath ending" = Luk 23:56 σάββατον κατὰ τὴν ἐντολήν "the Sabbath starting" = one and the same Sabbath "according to the Commandment"

because in Luk 23:56 "they started to rest the Sabbath" ἡσύχασαν σάββατον "according to the Commandment" κατὰ τὴν ἐντολήν;

and in Mark 16:1-2 they could "buy spices" only because according to the Commandment κατὰ τὴν ἐντολήν "the Sabbath had gone through / was past" διαγενομένου τοῦ σαββάτου.

YOU MAKE THEM sometimes Mark 16:1 = Thursday the 'ulb feast-sabbath' Abib 15 AFTER crucifixion-day Abib 14; and sometimes YOU MAKE THEM at the end of crucifixion day Abib 14 'before the sun set'---GOODNESS KNOWS WHAT!

It’s probably just me, but I feel like your posts are a bit jammed with TMI ….

It would be helpful if you would just point out where the conflict is and explain (in your words) why you believe I am wrong.

Simple and to the point I can understand, and if I don’t understand ….I won’t assume without asking you.

I believe that our conflict is in understanding that stems from gospel harmony, which I do not adhere to.

Religion has seriously defrauded us through harmony of the gospels setting the table for our misunderstanding.

Going back to the second century when the first biblical synopsis was designed in effort to put a human spin on the God breathed Word….in other words …bringing the Word of God down the level of man ….making himself smarter than God. … that in essence is what the synopsis is.

Since the time of Tatian there have been around 27 accepted biblical synopses in the theological circle…and yet every one of those has a problem. It is impossible to construct a single account from the four gospels without changing and/or deleting at least some parts of the individual accounts.

In their attempt to weave together sections of scripture into a single narrative there are several accounts (at least 8) mostly surrounding the crucifixion where the accuracy is distorted, and the narrative becomes accepted as biblical truths…this is what happens when man plays God.

I give no credence to biblical harmony which has been adopted into songs, poems, and religious beliefs. God has a purpose for everything he says where, why, how, to whom, and when He says it.

According to Luke 24:21-23 the women were out at the cemetery on the
third day; so start counting backwards from there.

For example: let's say arbitrarily that Sunday was the women's day. So then
Sunday would be the third day, Saturday the second day, and Friday the
first day. Bouncing from that we get Saturday night would be the third night,
Friday night the second night, and Thursday night the first night: which
would indicate Jesus was laid to rest just prior to sundown on a Thursday
afternoon.

FAQ: How could Sunday be counted as the third day when the Sun wasn't up
yet when the ladies went out to cemetery?

REPLY: Holy days began and ended at sunset; whereas civil days began at
06:00 am and ended at 06:00 pm.

Sometimes civil days began before the Sun was up. For example: the Sun
will rise in Jerusalem April 5, 2023 at 06:23 am, which in the past would've
been 23 minutes after the beginning of their civil day.

Incidentally, Jesus was already gone when the women arrived so in order for that
day to count as the third day, he had to wait until after 06:00 am before leaving
the tomb.

There is a preponderance of evidence testifying that Jesus Christ's crucified
dead body was restored to life during the third day rather than later after
the whole day was over and done with.

Matt 17:22-23 . . Jesus said unto them: The Son of man shall be betrayed
into the hands of men: and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be
raised again.

Matt 20:18-19 . . Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall
be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall
condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to
scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Mark 9:31 . . He taught his disciples, and said unto them: The Son of man
is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he
is killed, he shall rise the third day.

Luke 9:22 . .The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by
the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and
on the third day be raised to life.

Luke 24:5-8 . . In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to
the ground, but the men said to them: Why do you look for the living among
the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he
was still with you in Galilee: "The Son of Man must be delivered into the
hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again."

Luke 24:21-23 . .We trusted that it had been he which should have
redeemed Israel: and beside all this, today is the third day since these
things were done. Yea, and certain women also of our company made us
astonished, which were early at the sepulcher; and when they found not his
body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which
said that he was alive.

Luke 24:46 . . He said unto them: Thus it is written, and thus it behooved
Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day

Acts 10:40 . . God raised him up the third day

1Cor 15:4 . . he rose again the third day

Well observed. God bless you

Now there is 1 indomitable Scripture the evidence, testifying that "this same Jesus ye have crucified and with wicked hands have killed", “and was buried”, “the third day HE SAID I (shall) RISE”, ROSE TO LIFE which He said: “I HAVE POWER TO TAKE UP AGAIN.” And that text of Holy Scripture is in the Gospel of Matthew, 27:62 to 28:1-4, -- “On the day which is after the Preparation…the third day He said, I rise…late, in the end of the Sabbath, in the mid-afternoon daylight inclining towards before the First Day of the week.” Incontrovertible! Glorious Lord’s Day!

Now there is 1 indomitable Scripture,

Matt 27:63 is hearsay, so we really shouldn't take it too seriously; especially
when coming from Jesus' enemies. And besides, that verse is up against a
majority of 9 to1 in post No.17 consisting of information that's far more reliable.

BTW: I would advise against using words like indomitable and
incontrovertible lest the hapless day arrive when you are forced to eat
them. Leave yourself some room for error.
