Bob Estey, considering that God created man/woman in his image, and when he made them alive by blowing into Adam, he gave them of course a body, but also a soul (Mind/Will/Emotion), just like God has. When Jesus Christ came the second Adam, he was the image of the invisible God, and expressed (His Fathers) Mind/will/emotion as he lived on this earth.
ive been searching for this “Yah has a soul” concept in the Bible for a while now, havent found it yet, except sort of; kinda the same way that Yah has a “hand,” iow metaphorically.

of course Yah being a “person” is a quite popular concept, but not a good idea imo,
There is only One Immortal, Who dwells alone in unapproachable light
although i guess a Witness would help there too :)

This is all I know bbyrd,

Genesis 2:7Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

a living
חַיָּֽה׃ (ḥay·yāh)
Adjective - feminine singular
Strong's 2416: Alive, raw, fresh, strong, life

being.
לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ (lə·ne·p̄eš)
Preposition-l | Noun - feminine singular
Strong's 5315: A soul, living being, life, self, person, desire, passion, appetite, emotion

That is what I refer to, when talking about these kinds of things.

i think its at least suggested in the Bible that those ppl had it coming somehow, and that those things work out for good, even if the one doing the hurting is gonna get his too?
I would pose this question: Do we need for the Bible to tell us that God has feelings, or can we assume he does?

i dunno bob; it is feelings, emotions, near as i can tell, that make us "divided." So all things considered, id be wary about assigning emotions to Yah myself

i would argue that Yah is not alive, but gives life
also does not exist ("objective evidence"), but causes to exist
so hmm

It doesn't make sense to me that God doesn't have feelings.

Maybe God doesn't have feelings, but at least emotions, all I do know is that you could see through out the Old Testament, there was things God despised and did not like, and also I would consider that now that the Wrath of God has been poured out on Israel in 70 Ad for killing the Son of God, and Jesus had returned to come to save, and with judgement towards them then that considering Jesus has paid for sin 2000 years ago, that God is love, and simply calling out to reach all people.

Why argue that God is not alive, considering Yahweh is Spirit, and had his Own Spirit, also Has his own Word?

What do you think?

Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Our finite minds can't comprehend God's infinite nature.

But he did, through Jesus, tell us to love him with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

It seems to me we have two jobs: First, we need to keep the Lord company so he doesn't get lonely. Second, we must refrain from sin so we don't hurt him. What do you think?
Well... he isn't going to get lonely, but he does want our attention. One thing that Jesus asked of us receives very little press: he said come and learn of me. Also throughout the OT he wanted praise, dancing, loud noise in he honor, etc...

Then again, Christ got in us. Hard to be lonely if he is in you! Overall, it complicated, but yes I do think God wants our attention.

Refraining from sin so we don't hurt him?!?! Oh my! He was already hurt by Israel in the OT. He sent his Son to forgive, pay the price and cover those sins. No... he isn't hurt by our sins, and it's a good thing because we are incapable of stopping.

He would get lonely if we all ignored him, don't you think?

Well Bob, this is the part I half agree with you on. Judging by the OT, he got really pissed several times when Israel and Judah forgot him. When they did, several plagues, enemies and other thi gs came about as a direct result.

"Well, that's the OT... God is different now!" Is what some may say, but that's not true! We are no longer under the law... But not all the OT is the law. God said, I change not! What changed was the covenant.

But... Christ is in us. We are the Body of Christ: one Body, many members. God is not going to get lonely if we are him. This THAT great mystery. We are never alone because he dwells in us. Therefore, he is never alone.

well, again i def do not know ok, but i am just aware of humans' overwhelming penchant for anthropomorphizing God

fwiw i dont think No son of man may die for another's sins has been revoked either; but thats for another time prolly
