Did you ever wonder why God created tithes and offerings?

He is God, so, does He need your money? (Its his anyway, all of it).

But what about that "give" thingy?

A.) Its because you give your money to what you love., and God knows your heart.

Do you love :

Drugs or Alcohol?
Clothes?
Pets ?
Cars?
Girlfriends and Boyfriends ?
Blu-Rays and DVD movies ?
Big Screen TV's ?
Gambling?
Fishing?
Electric Guitars ?
Electronic Tech?
Food ?
Cable TV ?
Traveling ?

See all that? .... People LOVE to give their money to that stuff.
They LOVE IT.. and God understands that what you LOVE you will feed your money.

So, He puts us in the position of Giving our money into His work, His service.

Its a LOVE TEST,... Reader.

He's proving us.

Are you passing the Test, as it lasts your entire Christian LIFE.....

Let me show you this...

The "tithe" was instituted by Abraham, before the Law of Moses or the 10 Commandments came along.

The last book of the OT, says that we defeat the "devourer" who is the Devil, by our giving of money.
It also says that God will pour out of His "storehouse", which is His "riches in Glory", and to Prove HIM, by giving our money into the service of God... and that includes giving to widows, orphans, and the tithe and offering.

The Born again are the "seed of Abraham", and Paul teaches that "Abraham is the Father of our Faith".

Jesus said.."give and it shall be given unto you.... shall Men give unto you".... based on your giving.
This is "seed time and harvest"..

Paul said, that "God loves a Cheerful giver", and he's talking about money.

Paul teaches that those who teach/preach and "feed the sheep" are to be paid well, as this is a very vital service that they provide to the body of Christ.

So, all of that is "bible", mostly NT, and i hope it does not continue to offend your religion, Stan.

Everything we have, belongs to God.
Why?
Because we are "bought with a Price", and that price is the Blood and Death of Jesus.

"you are not your own"......

A.) Born again, means we are under new eternal ownership based on Spiritual Birth.


So, how does "giving" give back to us?

Well, its because all we have is God's... So, when we GIVE, we are giving God's time, money, .... Love..

And this is Spiritual Seed being planted.. and it will produce a harvest because Spiritual Seed is of God, and everything with God is Life, and Increase.
There is no death or lack, in God, so when we give ourselves or our money, then we as God's OWN, are Giving of God, and LIFE follows the giving.

So, with regards to money....>Its God's money, and He lets us use it. So, when we give it, then that is HIS money being invested and it always produces a return.
Always.

"Give and it shall be given"..... BACK.
That's what that means.

Its a circle.....its always going out to come back larger, as that is God's LIFE causing that to happen.
