Acts 7:55-58 KJV
[55] But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, [56] And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. [57] Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, [58] And cast him out of the city, and stoned him : and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
Tecarta Bible PremiumThey killed him because they hated the deity of Christ.
(smile), in Revelation 19:11 he's riding a horse, is he? "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war". now do you really think he's literally on a horse? I hope not.
now standing, did you get the picture? I guess not, listen he was filled with the Holy Ghost, right, who did he see? answer "SON of MAN". question is the son of man phyical or spirit. let the bible answer, John 3:31 "He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all".
one more, John 8:23 "And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world;
I am not of this world.
the son of man is spirit, not flesh and bone. what our brother Stephen saw was Jesus the Spirit
Standing as Spirit he has work, listen, "And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit". and he did.
so he was not phyically standing, nor sitting phyically, it's symbolic of a function of the spirit.
my God, that's basic bible study.
