For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Was Jesus made by God a sinner on the cross? God forbid.

Though I have seen Christian sinners going to great lengths to preach a gospel justifying it, until recently I have not seen any of them going so far as to make Jesus a sinner like themselves on the cross.

Setting that blasphemy aside for a moment, here's how someone thinks they have reconciled sinners following the non-sinning Jesus Christ. Normal reading of the Bible to walk as He walked, means His whole life on earth, which of course includes during the cross.

And so the teaching goes, that Jesus was made a sinner like us by God on the cross, and that when we take up our cross to follow Him, voila! we too become sinners as He was on the cross! Isn't that a hoot!

We don't become the righteous saints walking righteously and holily as He walked before the cross. No, we only become sinful members of His sinful body while on the cross. And so of course, we therefore cannot cease from sinning, until we die to sin like the sinner Jesus did from the cross.

Now, the common thread of this is indeed taught by many Christian sinners today, such as not becoming like Jesus in our walk without sinning, until after the grave. However, I have yet to hear it taken so far as to say, that we take up our cross and live as sinners like the sinner Jesus on the cross. Which only ends with our own death of the cross, even as Jesus.

Fortunately, God in His Bible once again rides to the rescue, to shut down such things where they first began.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Now, the error is by changing the first words of the verse into Jesus being made sin period. 'For us' is left out. And so it is said (not myself, but I speak as an erring man), that He became sin, which is to say He became a sinner. A man have sin, just like all men that have sinned. And things are left there, without going on to the next four words of the verse: Who knew no sin.

How can any man who knows no sin, have sin? How can any man not knowing sin be a sinner? It's not possible.

And when He saith, who knew no sin, He saith it for life, including the cross. Which He also saith in another place, He was tempted in all points, yet without sin... all His life. And so we see Jesus knew no sin, because He never sinned when tempted of the devil, including while on the cross to come down from the cross prematurely in their sight, nor to revile them that were reviling Him.

And so we conclude with a big Biblical duh!, that the man Jesus never sinned, was never a sinner, and never had nor knew sinning at any time on earth.

Therefore, we return to the gospel of the Bible, where those who repent of sinning to believe unto His righteousness, can also walk as He walked righteously and holily before and during the cross unto death.

How was your sins represented in his body? That is the question which every Christian needs to answer. God prepared a body for you - do you know what He prepared?
