Precious friends, which for you?

ONE Unchanging Pure/Preserved Word Of Truth, or:

Over 100 Constantly Changing newer modern "easier-to-read/understand" versions?:

@12question?: "God is not the author of confusion"?:
What think ye?:

bible.ca/b-kjv-only . htm, claims "refuting KJV Only" by feeling that:

"Foremost, we feel that the KJV is an EXCELLENT translation, but not
the ONLY excellent translation."
+
"that the KJV is to be classed as one of several major standards of
Bible translations including, NASB, RSV, NKJV, ASV, NIV. All these
translations are equal in quality and all should be used for Bible
study."

So "going By feelings," rather than faith, as KJV Instructs (2Co 5:7),
they do not Deny that KJV Is An "Excellent" Translation, but Do doubt
that It Is God's ONE "Pure/Preserved Book", Alone, Correct?:

So, by faith then, let us prayerfully and Carefully examine the Evidence,
For "the equality of the other Five Different books," Claimed As equal to
The Pure/Preserved Word Of God (KJV), shall we?:

King James Bible 1 John 5:7:
"For There Are Three That Bear Record In Heaven, The Father,
The Word, And The Holy Ghost: And These Three Are One."

Which is Equal?:

NASB 1995
For there are three that testify: ❌ Not equal, Correct?
↑ ↑
Different from, or equal to each other {HOW Confusing!, eh?}?:
↓ ↓
NASB 1977
And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
❌ Not equal, Correct?

RSV
And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
❌ Not equal, Correct?

New King James Version "benefit of the doubt"?
If 'bear record' = 'bear witness', then equal? ✔ ✔, yes?:
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word,
and The Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

ASV
And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
❌ Not equal, Correct?

New International Version
For there are three that testify:

❌ Not equal, Correct?

All ( save one ) removing The Sound Doctrine Of The Triune GodHead?
=================================

Thus far we have: NASB, RSV, NKJV, ASV, NIV still equal, Correct?
Next, let's check further, with ↑ ↑ ↑ ↑, and examine additional "Evidence",
shall we, since we all 'surely' Love The Lord Jesus Christ, Correct?:

KJV "Lord Jesus Christ" (82 verses w/ 85 Occurrences)

nkjv "Lord Jesus Christ" ( 81 / 84 ) ❌ Almost? But Not equal, Correct?

KJV 2 Corinthians 2:17
"For we are not as many which corrupt The Word Of God"

nkjv
"peddling the word of God" (like the NIV, NASV and RSV)
❌ Not equal, Correct?

KJV Isaiah 66:5
"Hear The Word of The LORD, ye that tremble at His Word; Your brethren
that hated you, that cast you out for My Name's sake, said, Let The LORD
Be Glorified: but He Shall Appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed."

[This means that the LORD Shall Appear, which shall occur at the
Second Coming of Christ.]

nkjv ❌ Not equal, Correct?:

"Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word: "Your brethren
who hated you, who cast you out for My name's sake, said, 'Let the LORD
be glorified, that we may see your joy.' But they shall be ashamed."

(Like the NIV, NASV, RSV and ASV, the Second Coming is wholly omitted
from This Scripture.) How is that Equality? ❌ Not equal, Correct?

----------------------------------------

Thus, More Evidence that confirms we are, by faith, In God!, And In:

His Unchanging Pure/Preserved KJV only/core adherents:

Even As He Is UNchanging!:

"Jesus Christ The Same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
(Hebrew 13:8 KJV)

Amen.

Why do we need to be discussing this - yet again?

To read only the KJV is a choice. And what about other versions that aren't in English? None of them can be the be the 'Pure/Preserved Word Of Truth'.

I found a website that pointed out many errors in the KJV [can't find it now] but I know many people still prefer the ancient language and some are even so dedicated to that ancient form of language that they make posts on forums about it. That has happened on every one I have been a member of, people have even been called heretics because they don't choose the KJV.

My first bible was given to me when I was 11. It was a child's version of KJV only insomuch as it was illustrated. I looked at the pictures but never read it apart from in RE lessons at school. I still have it.

My next bible was a GNT, bought because it was the translation used in the church I attended as a new born Christian - I loved it; it was so much easier to read and understand.

A few years later I went to a Bible Society meeting and bought the just-out NIV directly from them on that night. It has been my first choice ever since although I also like the NLT.

When my original NIV was falling to pieces I prayed and told God I needed a new bible. I needed His help because I couldn't afford the price of a new one. Shortly after that prayer I found a brand new, in it's original box, red letter, gold edged, unused beautiful NIV bible in a charity shop for just £2. And that has been the one I read every day until recently when I needed to use a large print edition of the NIV.

So I think it shows that God has no problem with the NIV as it was as if He gave it to me in answer to my prayer.

I agree. I have a NKJV because it is a super giant print edition. It only came in NKJV at the store I was, https://www.thomasnelsonbibles.com/product/nkjv-super-giant-print-reference-bible/ I can read it without glasses. :) 16 pt. I also have Geneva and Vulgate on Kindle. I enjoy studying from all of them.

I also have a NKJV. I like it because it is one that highlights the women of the bible and has pages of insights.

I also have the KJV 1611 edition with the old pictures, and calendar in the front with saints feast days. It is written in the King's English, also with apocrypha

Go down the page about halfway to see what the pages and text look like!

Have you proven your point or God's? While I read the KJV, I would never argue that it is the best choice for every English reader. We need to go the Way that God leads us. See post #3 by @Pearl . Is God not able to open our ears and eyes to understand His message to us?
I regularly read three Bibles [KJV, Valera 1960(Spanish) and Luther [German)] but when I encounter questions... like those raised at times on this forum, I check various other versions for help. I also ask for God's help. Do I understand everything in the Bible [any version or language]? No, but... I know Someone who knows all that is needed. I strive to press toward Him and/or surrender to Him every day. My KJV alone is good, but as @St. SteVen might say, alone it will not give me all that I need.

Why do we need to be discussing this - yet again?
Precious friend, thanks for asking:

A) Is God's Pure And Preserved Word not important? If not,
then no discussion needed, eh?
B) Are there not new members, who may be struggling with all the Confusion,
and, possibly came here, "seeking an Answer"? If I don't obey God, by
Encouraging and Edifying them by discussing it, then who will?
C) I have no fight [just love, for/] with precious brothers and sisters, but, I
do have "spiritual warfare" with the [ evil ] one who has been attacking
God's Pure/Preserved Word "from the beginning" with these "fiery darts":
1) question It, 2) add to It, 3) subtract from It, 4) water It down, and 5) Deny It!
D) Would I not be negligent in my "duties as God's ambassador," and, a Very Weak
'soldier' of The Lord, if I simply "just sit down and shut up," instead of obeying
Ephesians 6:11-19, "putting on the Full armour" for this battle with the enemy?
God Instructs me:
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (vs 13)
+
To "follow Paul as he follows Christ" (1Co 11:1), although I am not "in bonds", with:
"For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein
I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." (v. 20)
E) Does not God Desire us to live by a Pure faith, because:
"faith cometh by hearing, and hearing By The Word Of God!" (Romans 10:17)?

F) Are we not Instructed to "prove all things; hold fast to that which is good"
(1 Thessalonians 5:21)?
G) Why then would God Lead me to "constantly changing / corrupt versions" of
His Pure/Preserved Word, which then would corrupt my faith, as it has so
many others, even beginning in "Paul's day"?:
"For we are not as many, which corrupt The Word of God: but as
of sincerity, but As Of God, In The Sight Of God speak we In Christ."
(2 Corinthians 2:17)

H) Handling The Word Of Life! If I am "handling God's Pure/Preserved Word Of Truth
Improperly" would not that be, for me, "bad works/loss of reward" (1 Corinthians 3:8-15)
At The Judgment Seat Of Christ?
Amen.

I cut my teeth on the KJV many years ago. It was a STRUGGLE! Thee, thou, thine, pisseth, lol. I have now studied nearly 40 English Bible translations and absolutely do not recommend the KJV for new Christians! I love comparing translations. They are amazingly consistent. Even the JW NWT clearly teaches that Jesus is God and Hell is everlasting, even tho WatchTower TRIED to hide those Biblical FACTS! I am convinced that the Bible is the written Word of God!

There are many translations/versions of Gods precious word and the version I use is the NIV which is just as valid as the AV/KJV. God can speak to me clearly through the words on its pages as the Holy Spirit himself guides me. I do not need to be reading Olde Englishe when there are so many other easier versions. All that you have said can also be applied to any other version of the Holy Bible. The KJV is not the be all and end all. I love God himself and do not revere a particular form of scripture.

Precious friends, appreciate all your valuable participation:

[brothers/sisters/sistren?] reminded me of of God's Precious Words:

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
(Psalm 133:1)
Please keep up the good work.

Amen.

Precious friends, after prayer, and a "waking out of my sleep," I believe God Answered,
and Desired me to make the following addition [updating my original] with this:

God Instructs me:
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (vs 13)
+
To "follow Paul as he follows Christ" (1Co 11:1), although I am not "in bonds", with:
"For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein
I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." (v. 20)

Again, love all the precious brethren, just obeying/getting equipped for the "Real Battle."

I apologize for the omission, and thanks, appreciate your kind attention.

Amen.

=================================

I am a huge fan of the KJV. I have used it for over 35 years and am very comfortable using it. However it is not inspired like the original autographs

I took one example you gave (Is. 66:5) and the versions you cited as inadequate are actually more correct.

the word the KJV translates as "appear " (wenireh) actually means for one to see that is speaking (the scoffers) and not to appear.

There are three types of English bibles:

1. Literal translations- they range from excellent to good.
2. Dynamic translations- these range from poor to bad- they seek to capture the intent and not the words of the original writers.
3. Paraphrases- these range from bad to evil- they are written according to the writers opinions for the most part.

Precious friend, thanks for your information. With all due respect, may I humbly ask:
Since the KJV is "not inspired" does that then mean that This is partially false?:

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God
may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16)
In which case, I can only "trust God" For only 86% of This Scripture, when God Commands:

"...man shall not live by bread alone, but by Every Word That
Proceedeth Out Of The Mouth Of God" (Matt 4;4; Luke 4:4)?

I believe my faith is supposed to be 100%, not partial, Correct?

Amen.
