The concept of sovereign grace in the Gospel is against the trend of 'easy believism' and popular evangelicalism.

This is true, it's almost like a different gospel. That is why I make the statement "thank God what you believe doesn't save you," but in whom you believe!!

Please Note, what I said was that Adam when he sinned he became a candidate for the second death. The second death does not come into play until the final Judgement of mankind at the end of the age of the ages, i.e. at the end of the Millennium Age.

I then made comment about the physical death that all suffer when we become older and our bodies can no longer support life within them.

The Genesis 2:17 English translation is very poor and does not indicate that when a person sins, then he will die the second death at a time set in our still distant future, i.e. in just over 1,000 years times.

The English translations does not differentiate between the second death and a person's physical death in that it uses the same English word for both.

I trust that that clears up for you what I had previously posted.

Please note that the Second death was always a possibility for all of humanity. Adam, because he was the first man, is now lumbered with the curse of being identified as he person responsible for sinning first. Adam by eating of the Tree of Knowledge, became aware of what is good and what is evil, and as such let the cat out of the bag so to speak such that all of mankind now knows of this as well. Therefore we are now all responsible of our own sins.

    Shalom

    Got it.
You know Adam was not the first sinner, Satan was.
We can say Adam was the first human being to recieve a satan-sin-nature, but not the original sinner, 1John 3.

    When Adam left the garden.

    Adam had his same LIFE...
Bodily LIFE, which IS his own natural BLOOD.

Adam also had his same soul LIFE...
Adam, was Given "soul LIFE', via Gods breath. (Like every man whose formed body is brought into an ALIVE state).

And like every living man, ADAM corrupted his SOUL, through disobedience TO GOD.

And like every living man, Adam's SOUL requires "RESTORATION", back to NOT being corrupted, as it was NOT corrupted, when God BLOWS LIFe from Him, into a formed BODY.

TWO things ARE revealed in Genesis, regarding Adam....BEFORE he is sent OUT of the Garden.

    1) His SOUL "WAS" "forgiven" ... in the same manner, We later find...OT men were "forgiven"...
Ie.....BY the BLOOD of Animals....and the Covering up of their Bodies.

The BLOOD of animals provided the "forgiveness"
The COVERING of their Bodies, HID, their SHAME...(ie their flesh).

God slew the animal, God covered Adams' shame with the skin of an animal.

(Later, we find men, slaughtering pure animals, for their blood to be used for forgiveness of sin. And we find men clothing their flesh with garments, to hide the SHAME of their (then revealed) SINFUL, flesh).

THE practice of men slaughtering animals for their pure blood, had not been revealed TO Adam, thus he was not "required" to participate in that practice. God having slew an pure animal and covering Adams flesh, was sufficient to SAVE ADAMS SOUL.

    2) What else was revealed, WAS...what ADAM WAS provided "TO EAT"....He Didn't.
Adam was provided "tO EAT" from the "TREE OF LIFE"...He Didn't.

Because Adam DID NOT eat from the "Tree of Life"....Adams "BODY" remained "subject to DEATH'...

A man "WHO DOES NOT EAT" from the "TREE OF LIFE"......and LATER...called "Christ's BODY"...
(Remember when Jesus said....Eat this bread, Drink this wine?......It is the SAME as...
    A man....ACCEPTING....
Jesus' pure BLOOD, for saving the soul.
    AND
Jesus' pure BODY, the TREE OF LIFE.

Drink....and ones SOUL shall be RESTORED.
    ....to FOREVER LIFE.
Eat...and ones BODY shall be "JUSTIFIED"
    ....to HAVe FOrEVER LIFE.

^. Accomplish those TWO THINGS....and the Lord God......SHALL give such a man....
Gods OWN SEED, to "rebirth" the mans "spirit" from natural to "supernature...

AND? Forever, that mans spirit shall have "FOREVER" LIFE.

The accountability of every Individual man...
IS According to WHAT Gods reveals.

IF God HAS NOT revealed it...a man Can not be held accountable for NOT KNOWING.

Adam, DID NOT KNOW, about, SIN, Forgiveness, Covering of SIN, Saving of his soul or quickening of his Spirit.....

What Adam DID know AT FIRST was ONLY the GOOD God taught Him.

After eating of the forbidden fruit, Adam became OPENED in Knowledge that pepuates that which is AGAINST GOD, thereafter, called EVIL.

    What we find regarding Adam,
IN the Garden, is, Blessed BY God, Adam's flesh was naked, without SHAME, was learning GOOD things FROM God, and then ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of good AND EVIL.

    BEFORE Adam leaves the garden....
his disobedience is forgiven (animal blood), his shame is covered (animal skin)...

Adam continues IN BELIEF in God...
    He was BLESSED BY God.
    His "spirit" was quickened....

How do we KNOW ^^^ THAT?

    Because of LATER things revealed....
    WHAT?

    1) Men who are forgiven...and soul saved...
Are subject to ALSO receive....the SeeD of God (to quicken their spirit)....and ONLY men WHO....ARE forgiven, (bodies) saved, (souls) quickened, (spirits) ...ARE
CALLED..."sons of God"....and justified to be "redeemed".......AND...."resurrected" up in a body of glory, to forever LIFE with God.
THUS, that man becomes, "a son of God".

    2)
[38]....Adam, which was the son of God.

Every man AFTER Adam, now born in Adam's "natural life (blood of the body's life) "likeness...."
Corrupt Blood, which can not Save a mans soul.

Adam's flesh body was forgiven, his soul restored, and his spirit quickened...
Thus we find...his is a "son of God".

OT men had not YET been reveals JESUS' name...thus they were NOT accountable TO, vow an allegience TO JESUS.

OT men that became forgiven, soul restore, spirits quickened DID SO, according to THE KNOWLEDGE THEY WERE revealed.
"THOSE men who acquiesced and trusted the knowledge given THEM"....
Became bodily forgiven, soul restored, spirit quickened. Called saints, ARE accounted as "sons of God"....and await the "resurrection" of their Bodies to be "raised in Glory".

NT men and forward, were given MORE KNOWLEDGE, and thus the THEY become accountable for the Knowledge TO BECOME Forgiven, saved, quickened, by and through "belief" and submission "to" Jesus Christ...and God.
THEY who do are; forgiven, saved, Born Again and justified to be....redeemed And Resurrected in a glorified body.

Those who do not...shall die without forgiveness, without a restored soul, without a Quickened spirit and shall BE RAISED to judgement of Damnation.

    Glory to God,
    Taken

How can one who is in hell be in more or less hell based on the number of sins they had committed? I think I am understanding you as suggesting there are different levels of hell?

Hell is a place of torture for those who rejected Christ as their savior. But I have so much yet to learn about it. So I really cant say much on the matter.

The bible teaches various degrees of punishment.

The people of Nineveh will rise in the judgment against this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment against this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here (Matthew 12:41,42).

Jesus answered, "You would have no power over Me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed Me over to you is guilty of a greater sin" (John 19:11).

That slave who knew what his master wanted, but did not prepare himself or do what was wanted, will receive a severe beating. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more (Luke 12:47,48).

All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the Day when God will judge the secrets of humanity through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares (Romans 2:12-16).

How much worse punishment do you think will be deserved by those who have spurned the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant by which they were sanctified, and outraged the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:29).

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly (James 3:1).

I guess hell and judgment are expressions of similar concepts and consequences.

When Adam was put out of the garden, he had a flesh and blood body that he he was created with, but the living soul was corrupted by sin. Now; they knew they were naked (soul-mind knowledge), and they were afraid of God (emotion, soul-seat of emotions).
The image and likeness of God was still there but very much corrupted by the seed he had recieved to be his life-nature-spirit-sin unto death-life, Gen. 3:15
Noted it is all soulish activities happening, nothing in spirit accept for what Adam and Eve recieved. Mankind's trouble from that point on has always been in spirit, which is the root of the problem.
What Christ did on the cross is a spirit-ual act to crucify the sin-nature. All in Adam have the sin nature, all in the second Adam do not have a sin nature they have the nature of God which is in Christ, to simple but hidden from the minds of the wise and prudent.
Why do we sin still as Christians because the mind is not compatible with the new life, the new Christ in you nature, and again to simple but not simple, must be revealed.

Hell is where it all ends up. So these verses reflect various degrees of suffering therein. If God is just, the punishment will fit the crime so to speak.

Food for thought....why did God put a free will in man (including Adam)....why did God put a forbidden tree in the Garden? Why not just leave that tree out of the picture? It would have prevented the fall of man to begin with. No tree no temptation....
I had a vision years ago of all souls living in heaven and then the fall of Satan and 1/3 of the angels with him. In my vision there was much distress and confusion amongst the souls as to what transpired....confusion brought fear. God created a plan for all souls to have free will to choose for themselves because fear and confusion cannot dwell in heaven. So He created man and put a soul in the body. Gave man free will....then a commandment to not eat of the tree.
Hence began the war over the souls of man between God and Satan....satan tempts man through deception and pride (telling him/eve they will not die but become as God)....Satans downfall was pride...mans was pride and disobedience.
God is a Sovereign and Just God and does not force anyone to believe in Him....He gave us a choice...but He also gave us a measure of faith to seek truth.
    Well thats something to ponder....
    God Bless!☺

Yes. Adam was a man. Adam had his own created natural LIFE. Just like EVERY SINGLE living man....Adam was CREATED WITH...
BLOOD....<--- THAT IS THE LIFE OF EVERY MANS BODY.

    The "LIVING SOUL"...
The LIFE "IN" and "OF" a SOUL "is" Gods "LIFE".

A man WHO HAS, and himself been MADE, a LIVING SOUL, (has a living soul, is made a living soul).......BY GODS "LIFE", given a man, VIA Gods BREATH.

    Mans LIFE, is his BLOOD.
Gods LIFE, is given a man, VIA a living soul.

Once a man..(body), is given a living soul (life from God).......the mans BODY, its life, (blood) BECOMES ALIVE.

AND YES, from there forward,.. (BECAUSE of the life in the soul )... the mans BODY, has
    ( senses ) (feelings) ...
Senses....of ability to see, hear, touch, smell, taste....
Feelings...of ability of emotions, happiness, sadness, anger, fear, desires, love, hate, etc.

SPIRIT of man ~ begin as a "NATURAL spirit".
SPIRIT of man ~ IS simply a mans "TRUTHS" in his own heart.
SPIRIT of man ~ IS a TRUTH, man:
....Learns from the WORLD, and believes.
    ....Emotionally believes.

SPIRIT of man ~ (truth in a mans heart)...
Can Absolutely KNOW HIS OWN "TRUTH"...
While his MIND and MOUTH says, the complete OPPOSITE.
While his SOUL, (feelings and emotions) believe, the complete OPPOSITE.

    The WORLD teaches...
The minds opposition and souls opposition TO the spirit of man....is OKAY.

    The WORLD teaches...
Be polite, Be tolerant, Be agreeable...
Lies are OKAY...(Lies between your spirit and soul and mind...are OKAY).

IF your heart KNOWS the TRUTH...
That homosexuality is Against Gods precepts.
(Let your Mind and Soul express tolerance and agreement out of your mouth)
That cheating is Against Gods precepts.
(Let your Mind and Soul express tolerance and agreement of excuses out of your mouth)
    ETC.

Jesus' TEACHING, is the complete OPPOSITE to the WORLD'S TEACHING.

Jesus' TEACHING, is ABOUT a man LEARNING HOW TO "reconcile" the WHOLE of a MAN..
Body, Mind, Soul, Spirit....TO BE IN HARMONY "within" the individual man himself.

Jesus' TEACHING, is EXPRESSLY revealing, THE HOW (for a man) TO, accomplish that WHOLENESS, is EXPRESSLY...
BY and THROUGH Christ Jesus Himself.

Adam himself, as are all the men IN Scripture, EXAMPLES for mankinds BENEFIT.

Natural men...created, made, born...ALL are the SAME....created and made WITH their own NATURAL BLOOD LIFE...

All those BORN ALIVE...all have the SAME soul "LIFE" that IS LIFE, that belongs to God.

All those BORN ALIVE...all have the their own individual NAtURAL SPIRIT LIFE, of TRUTH in their own Hearts.

AND YES...IF the NATURAL LIFE of the man...
(Ie the mans BLOOD and FLESH is corrupt...
So also will the mans Life from God (soul), and mans NATURAL spirit (truth)...(IN the mans FLeSH)....become corrupt.)

    Glory to God,
    Taken

That's a good question. But I think it is obvious God planned the fall in Adam for higher purposes. I think of it this way. God created Adam sinless, because he had not given him a law. Later, when Adam heard the law he wanted to break it and freely chose to do so. So he became guilty of wanting to sin and freely choosing to sin when tested. God tested him on our behalf under the best conditions, so in Adam we are proven to be a corrupt species. But Jesus, the second Adam passed the test under the worst conditions. And we who believe in him wear Christ's imputed righteousness, just as we wore Adam's imputed sin.

But Christ is God, so instead of wearing Adam's finite righteousness, had he remained true, we wear God's own righteousness and all the good it deserves forever.
