Yes, there are many divisions in the body of Christ. It is far from perfect.
Now, what about some of those R.C. teachings?
Veneration of relics (pagan); a celibate, mediatorial priesthood (there is only ONE mediator between God and men - the man Christ Jesus; and leaders should be the husbands of one wife); transubstantiation (idolatry); Mary as "Queen of Heaven" (a pagan title); the blasphemous titles of the "pope" (Vicar of Christ [i.e. instead of Christ, which is what anti-Christ means], Rector Orbis, Holy Father, Pontifex Maximus (a pagan title), etc.); purgatory (unbiblical); maintenance of justification by works (salvation is by grace through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast); praying and bowing down before pictures and statues (idolatry); indulgences (unbiblical nonsense), etc., etc..
Then there are the "anathemas" (curses) pronounced on Christians who believe what the Bible says, instead of some of the above; and the torture and murder of countless millions, over centuries, completely contrary to the heart of Jesus.
The whole R.C. system is rotten to the core and anyone who truly believes in the Lord Jesus Christ needs to get out of her, so that he does not partake in her sins, nor receive of her plagues.
