What utterly ignorant nonsense . . .JESUS Commandment = "No one comes to the FATHER but thru ME"
Praying to anyone other then CHRIST, to come to the FATHER, is in fact, another gospel.
Sooo, YOU never ask people to pray for you or a worthy cause??
- When someone asks YOU to pray for them – do you condemn them or do you PRAY for them??
- Was Paul sinning when HE asked for prayers in his Letters (2 Thess. 3:1-3 Eph. 6:19)?
You’re a hypocrite – not a Scripturally-knowledgeable person . . .
To "Pray" does NOT mean to "Worship - as I have repeatedly shown you people on this thread. ONE more time . . .
Full Definition of Pray:
transitive verb
1: ENTREAT, IMPLORE —often used as a function word in introducing a question, REQUEST, or PLEA<pray be careful>
2: to get or bring by praying
intransitive verb
1: to make a REQUEST in a humble manner
2: to address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanksgiving
Acts 27:34
"Wherefore I PRAY you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you".
As you can plainly see above – prayer as WORSHIP is NOT one of the primary definitions. We WORSHIP God alone in prayer – but we PRAY to many people.
“Pray” is legal, juridical language that is used in Court documents to this day.
NOBODY is being “worshipped” in court. YOUR problem, besides being a rabid anti-Catholic - is an obvious ignorance of the English language.
The Greek word for “Pray” used in the NT is:
προσευχηομαι
Pronunciation: pros-yoo'-khom-ahee
Definition: 1) to offer prayers, to pray, SUPPLICATE, worship
Stop quoting the Bible until you actually understand what it says . . .
