The king of Judah does not keep the agreement with Babylon and they rebel. Babylon comes back and burns the city and the temple to the ground on the 9th of Av 587 BC. The people are carried off to Babylon including Daniel and his friends.

Daniel studied the prophecy of Jeremiah and knew it was time. Jeremiah 29 v 10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

So the return from Babylon was not in Gods anger and fury, was not to judge Israel as shown in Nehemiah. It also was not to purge out teh rebels so the nation would know Jehovah is Lord!

This began with the siege of Titus ion 66 AD. He left the following year to go to Rome to see His Father anointed Cesar! This is when Christians fled and went across the Jordan to the city of Pella. Titus returned in late 69, continued the siege and war and ransacked Jerusalem and the temple so that not one stone literally was not upon another. No Jewish Christians a re said to have died, but 1.1 million Jews perished in Jerusalem. The diaspora started here but gained its full effect in 135 Ad after the jesus bar Kochba rebellion. Rome leveled Jerusalem, renamed the land Syria Palestinia and made the Jews flee the land and they were literally scattered all four corners of the earth! This was the diaspora.

Jewsih believers in Israel acknowledge it and they also acknowledge that 1948 began the rgathering in unbelief to prepare Israel to receive Messiah. For the Matthew 24 verse, yes we need Daniel and Thessalonians and Rev. 12 to get the full picture. But the Luke passage is not the same as the Matthew passage. they descxribe different events.

The Luke passage describes the Roman siege and destruction of Jerusalem in 66-70 AD. When Titus laid siege to Jerusalem in 66 Ad, that was when the Luke passage began to be fulfilled. Jerusalem encompassed by armies, then know its desolation is near.

When Titus broke off the siege to return to Rome to see his father Galba crowned Cesar. This is when the Christians fled Jerusalem and went to the Syrian city Pella. If traditions are correct, when titus returned and destroyed jerusalem, not one christian was killed in the 1.1 million people killed in the siege.

The flight in the tribulation is not one that will cause mass death as the Luke passage.
Luke says these are the days of judgment for Jerusalem
Luke says Jerusalem encompassed by armies, Matthew says the AoD enters the holy place.
Luke says it is the desolation of Jerusalem, Matthew says great tribulation as the world has never seen.
Jerusalem has been trodden down of the gentiles since th etime of the Babylonian captivity. It still is in that the temple mount is Muslim territory.

For the Matthew 24 verse, yes we need Daniel and Thessalonians and Rev. 12 to get the full picture. But the Luke passage is not the same as the Matthew passage. they descxribe different events.


I know you do0n't think os, but the Jews, Millions of christians and Scripture itself declare the events of 70 Ad and then 132-135 AD big big scriptural deals. Just like 1948 is a big biblical deal! so wasn't June of 1967.

Being a biblical deal does not mean God regathered people. It means that the end time revolves around that country and area as far as prophesies go. Some of Luke can be applied to the time of the Roman invasion, but that is not primarily what it is about as these verses show
