Absolutely, but immaturity or even carnality of thought (which is also immaturity) isn't a proof of lack of relationship. Self defense is a natural aspect of the flesh. Under trial for His very life, the Lord would not open His mouth in defense of Himself, but are we all there yet?
Some of us get beat up in life a lot. Some of us have self doubt and stand behind false bravado. Some of us have "a root of bitterness " that breaks out destructively. We find common experiences in Christ, but no two of us have lived the same life, walked identical paths, or experienced the same shipwrecks. Christ is the great healer and He does His work in us, but some of us are just a bit more damaged than others.

Yes, I think I have a while back. I try to stay within the boundaries of what the Bible says we can do and that's consider a person unsaved. If you're offended that I consider you an unsaved person just let me know. And I do because of how abrasive and unrepentant you are about how you treat me, even after I've called you out on it. And you know what Jesus says to do when that happens.

You broke the rules ...you know it....you are talking like a lawyer.....did YOU get a warning for your clear violation as I did in what was essentially a Judgement call?

Peter is talking about persuading unbelievers....Believers don’t need to be “ granted repentance” or “lead to the-knowledge Of the Truth” ..... they have that covered already...

I got a ticket for 'Character Attack' back on April 23rd. I asked you if a certain passage of scripture describes you and I said if it does describe you, you are not saved.

It's not saying pass judgement on them and declare them an unbeliever. It's saying consider, or regard them as one. I can see why. Brothers who share the same fellowship of the Spirit will ultimately not be content with living in contention with another brother.
