I have just been surfing a fewChristian Forum sites and the things promoted by people naming thename of Christ amazes me. Over the years I have heard the name RobBell more than once and in seeking the wisdom of other BasicsGrounded Teachers have avoided wasting my funds on the books hepushes as Christian. There is a post on one forum this morning thatseeks? to equip other members of this particular forum for theupcoming debate that is, apparently, sure to come. I'm going toattempt to be kind here but the truth is that in his link I did notfind the scriptures.By the scriptures, of course, I meanthe Bible, the Word of God's personal revelation of Himself.

Thebook, it is reported by the poster, is concerning the lack of anyreal Hell. In all the copies of the Bible that I own Genesis 1:1points out that it is Almighty God that created the Universe and allthat it contains. And when we go to John 1:1-3 we learn that the Sonof God, popularly known as God in the flesh and Jesus, is the Creatorof all of this. As it is very popular to ignore the Bible and toread the Commentary instead, I'll limit this post, from here forwardto that Commentary, the New Testament. In the Four Gospels,Jesus/God taught more on the turth and fact of Hell than He did onHeaven. If any of us then puts it forward that there is no suchplace as a literal Hell... we are guilty of calling God a liar!

I know that I will stand, what ispopularly known as, the Bema Seat Judgment but I certainly never wishto even be near the Great White Throne Judgment and calling God aliar, directly or by inference, is one sure fire way to get there andto, experientially, find out that Hell is real and that it is neverending. Throughout the scriptures we find that God cannot toleratesin in His presence and Jesus stated that he was 'the'way, 'the' way and'the' life. (John 14:6) Not even that He was or might be one of the ways, He is The Way.(Emphasis mine.)

Somy question is this, “Why do we believe that a Finite Man, createdby God knows more that the Infinite Creator that has forever been?

Amen to that.

"27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a 'crutch.' " (27th Soviet point of their strategic policy against the West, from 1950's FBI agent Cleon Skousen's 1958 book The Naked Communist)

Welcome to Socialism in the Church. Lot of folks don't realize Communist strategy has long had a plan for pushing its doctrines in our Christian Churches too, and not just among politics and our public education system.

Disregarding God's Word about an abode of burning for the wicked in the heavenly (called hell in English), is from that "social religion" type thinking. The socialist religious thinking involves changing Bible doctrine to try and make Christianity better fit the Socialist plans for world domination. Some of their best work is written in magazines like Christianity Today. Some of them no doubt fill teaching posts at major universities and seminaries.

Hell is real. It's a result of refusing the justification and sanctification of Jesus's sacrifice and the work of the Holy Spirit. It is eternal. It can be avoided if we submit to God's plan to redeem us.
